There were some "hickups" but once I contacted and visited with a great agent, who took care of the problem and gave me the information and help I needed, problem solved. It's a great printer and I'm very happy with it. "AI" is under the assumption it can help with any problem, sometimes you need a person! Once you get through to a "person" for me that made all the difference.

This is my third Canon Printer, and I am sold on the Canon brand. Pictures are sharp and clear and the colors are true. I have downsized as I am now a widower, recently remarried. This printer meets my needs, for printing documents, pictures and copying. I am very pleased with this printer and I will continue to buy Canon products.

My previous Canon all-in-one printer lasted about 6-8 years. This replacement had a paper jam within the first week - concerning about it's longevity. The rollers continued to turn while the paper jam prevented movement leading to loud, prolonged gears clashing - is there long term gear damage now? Also, I could not find the paper jam removal guide.

I had a Canon MX870 for years. It was reliable. A bit ago I got error message that print head is faulty. Contacted Canon and was told printer no longer supported, which really annoyed me. I did. I did not want to discard a perfectly good printer, for which I had a backup store of ink, just because Canon wanted me buy a new one! But i had no choice. I called the "upgrade center" and got the 8620, essentially the same machine, at a light discount, delivered in a few days. It works just like my old one except it also prints from my ipad.

I got this to replace a Pixma MG7720, which I had really liked but was toast. In comparison, this one seems slower, much cheaper made, & of poor design. However, as stated, it wasn't expensive & does everything I want it to do. It would be nicer if the control panel didn't have to be open to print & if photo paper didn't have to load from the back. Both of these design "flaws" make a small size printer take up unnecessary room. But it does copy & scan in addition to printing, apparently faxes, & you can use it with your phone, although I have not tried the last two functions.

I purchased this to replace an older (TS---) model. I wanted to use the same inks, since I had a bunch, and called Canon Customer Service for help in identifying such a printer, since it is otherwise not easy to identify which inks are used by a printer. I am not satisfied! The printer prints and scans and copies (and apparently Faxes, which is of no use to me), However, it does not use one of the colors that my previous printer used --- the Printer Blue. It also does not bother to provide a tray for the printer output. It isn't that this model is bad -- but it reflects a higher price (even accounting for inflation, I believe) for slightly less capability.

Great printer but complicated to start printing. It turns off automatically so to print, I have to make sure it's turned on and the face-plate must be lifted.

Nice printer at this price point. Days after I paid $199 for it I see it on sale for $149. Text is sharp and crisp even at the medium setting. Colors are true and well saturated. Paper loading is a little quirky. Front cassette has extra cover that has to be removed and replaced. Loading paper in the rear feeder is strange. The "operations panel" has to be fully raised for the printer to work. I consider this to be poor design. I have not used the scan or FAX functions yet.

Nowhere near the quality or ease of use of the still perfectly good MX870; which it replaced only because of the lack of a proper software driver for my new Microsoft 11. I deeply regret that I was persuaded to accept his as a proper relacement for my MX870. I did not specify tha price was to be a factor in my decision to buy.

I bought this to replace my Pixma MX870 which was a beast. Like going from a 1979 Pontiac Bonneville to a Chevrolet Spark. Setup was relatively easy after I finally found my modem password. The copies are clean and look pretty good, of course I'm only doing documents. It's cheaply made like everything else, so I don't expect a long lifespan. Fairly simple to set up. The only real problem is trying to register the stupid thing with Canon. It keeps telling me that the serial number that I'm putting in, is not correct or belongs to a product that is not allowed to be sold in the US. I've checked it and triple checked it. The sticker on the back says serial number. You can't reach these people without first registering your product, so I can't get my warranty in place with them. Kind of frustrating.

Been using this printer, sporadically, for about one year. Very good 4X6 glossy photo printer, my primary decision point, at a low price. Fast text printing. Fast enough duplex printing. No problem connecting to my WiFi or printing from iPhone or iPad. Initially could not print from Chromebook but now printing from Chromebook without issue. Dislike the cost of Canon ink cartridges but can't argue with photo printing results. Have never used the fax feature.

I have bought Canon products since I was a kid. I'm almost 50 now. This is the first product that I am thoroughly disappointed in. I feel completely ripped off. I bought this printer a week ago. The size is great as it fits well into a home office. That is the only nice thing I'll say about it. As a PIXMA, I had great expectations since it is replacing an older PIXMA which was amazing. The print quality is ok at best. Good for charts and such. Not excellent for graphics and photos. Color reproduction is hit or miss. The build quality on the entire printer feels like Lexmark in the early 2000's...flimsy and cheap. The touch screen is a nice feature but the response time when pressed is not immediate. The auto-document feeder works fine for up to 5 pages even though it's rated for 20 pages. Anything more than 5 pages tends to jam and creates a lot of frustration. Specially, if you are trying to manually duplex your scans. The horizontal feed dimensions are tight so on a 8.5" x 11" document, you don't have much wiggle room on feeding our docs to be scanned which also creates the paper jams in the document feeder.

The TR8620a Canon printer is an excellent purchase. This printer replaces Canons TR8520, and I appreciate the service received from Canon's technical support. The features are outstanding with my TR8620a, and recommend CANON's after service.

This would not even make a good boat anchor. Awkward to use, impossible to send faxes on (they never go through). Scanned a doc to my iMac, can't find it. I do not have time for this PERIOD.

Functionality and value for price are a plus with one exception. Having difficulty in connecting printer to Xfinity Wifi for mobile printing, otherwise I would give a 4.5 rating. I have owned hp printers in the past and never experienced problems setting up mobile printing. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. Would recommend.

Had difficulty connecting the printer to my Wi-Fi network (Xfinity router, tri-band w/Wi-Fi 6, mesh). Had to manually connect to the network from the printer and then use Microsoft update to load the Canon driver. The Canon install process never got past error code. It is working now but it took 30 minutes to accomplish a task that normally takes three minutes. Canon install might work great on a different router.

This printer satisfies all of our home requirements. The document feeder is useful for multiple Pdf files and presentations. The printer works with both of our computers as well with our phones and has performed without an incident or any issues. All in all, it has been a great value and a sound machine that is easy to use. We have used the machine for about a month here in Arizona and would recommend it to others. This printer replaces the TS9120 that we had and we have used Canon printers for more than 15+ years. For average users like us this printer is an efficient and welcomed unit. In addition, the support group is awesome and have helped us with any question we may have had.

Good prints and the menu for printing is much moar expanded than the TS9020 I had before. I doubt I will use the Fax functionality but the scanning works equally as well as the printing. The ability to print in draft saves ink on documents that you will only use once. Hopefully that means less frequent ink changes.

Good printer if only I could figure out how to set up without multiple calls to Sales for support. Took several calls to get it to connect wirelessly to my Mac so I could print. Still trying to get the scan function to work. Have had an older Canon printer/scanner that worked fine until it started displaying error code for wiper almost full; turns out you no longer support it so I bought this one; last time for Canon.

Nice little package that allows me to print, copy, scan & fax. Even allows machine to automatically turn off after an interval with no print jobs and then to turn on automatically when a print job comes along. Have to dig a little in printer's menus to set this up.
