I too am a Seinheiser fan... love the solid build the feel & the audio quality of these headphones, I use them on my computer for video editing... & after about a year of normal use, the black wrap around the foam is tearing off... I'm really disappointed this is happening ... I wonder if anyone else is having this issue? the price, the quality is great... the cosmetics of my headphones is lacking...

I am using this for the sound board at my church. It really helps to isolate the rom noise so I can hear what is going through the board better, and the bass from this is phenomenal. Great for entry pro use and absolutely wonderful for use at home playing games! The bundled cord isn't usable with the headphones, which I thought was strange, but it is of good quality in it's own right.

I have 3 pairs of the HD280 pros in my rehearsal studio. These headphones are sonically neutral compared to other low cost, closed back headphones. I've tried an array of other headphones which seemed to be more scooped in their perceived frequency response. Most listeners in my studio find these phones to sound natural and to do a great job of passively isolating the performer from the sound volume in the room.

I?ve used Sennheisers since the 80?s, and one thing I?ve always enjoyed is that they are true to sound. Specifically, the HD 280?s. Many newer sets have enhancements, EQ?s, but I enjoy having just the sound come through without addition. This is my 5th pair over the years, and as always, they start out flat till they break in, but even the flatness is just the sound, without the natural fluctuations of the speakers being broken in. I have tried Sony?s, as well as Bose, but these are always the ones I?ve favored. I?ve even tried the newer Sennheisers, the 4 and 5 series, but I like these better. True sound without enhancement is my goal, and these bring it for me.

These headphones are the best I’ve ever had. I’ve had Beats, AirPods, Bose, Skull Candy, and even audio technicas. I purchased these for podcasting monitoring headphones, but I’ve realized I can hear instruments and sounds I’ve never heard in music before. I’ve even gotten an extension cable to watch tv with them, because it lets me focus and appreciate the sound design in a way I never have before. I highly recommend these for anyone, except idiots.

Nice headphones. A little stiff band, but soft leather-like padding. Good sound quality, but can still hear music outside headphones, which might not be good for recording(?). Haven't really tried them yet for VO work, just testing that they work to play music.

The purchase was good — I’d hoped for a little earlier availability, but it worked well. The headphones are good.

A good clean headphone for a studio setup. Comfortable to wear over a long period of time. The headphones are a good overall value.

Headphones do a good job of limiting external noise, while delivering a sound that is studio-like in quality. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

I was amazed at the sound improvement between these headphones and my previous ones. I believe the noise cancellation aspect of these headphones is under promoted as it seems to cancel out most of my household ambient noise. They are sturdy and a bit heavy but the quality of sound is amazing. For the price, these are a great investment.

Adorama was the only store who could ship my headphones 3-days out from Christmas. They actually arrived the next day, which was a huge surprise. The headphones are very well constructed, and have a much sturdier cable connection to the headphones than did the lower priced Sennheisers that I have owned previously. Oh yea, they have an excellent clear sound.

I received these free with another purchase and believe that they are def worth the asking price. Good quality sound and comfortable around the ear. They are a little tight at first and are loosening up so they are very comfortable. Appropriate bass, not booming or tinny. I recommend these.

I've been using this set of headphone for over eight years now, and time and time again I am astounded by their quality that has stood the test of time like no other headphone I've owned. In this eight-year span I've purchased dozens of wrap and in-ear headphones, from 99 cent models to models that cost upwards of $1000, and every time I bought another headset I kept coming back to my HD280s. I've used the headphones on an iPhone, computer and professional recording studio, and in every instance they outperformed nearly every other headphone around. I remain amazed at how such a low-priced pair could outperform the big guns. If you're considering a pair of headphones and come across these words, stop right here, add it to your shopping cart and rest assured that you've found a gem, a long-lasting top quality set that you'll enjoy for a long time.

Sound is good, design is good. I bought this headphone for comfort but it gives everything except comfort. It is too tight on my ears. I hope it will loose in some time. Till that time, my toaster is wearing it.
