I recently had a bose soundbar300 with a bass module 500. The module failed and had to get a new subwoofer. Found a great deal on a yamaha subwoofer. Come to find out the bose soundbar is only compatible with bose. So I purchased the Yamaha SR-B30A. I have noticed there were very few reviews considering its a new product. Looking at all the specs I found it to be the only setup I needed. The sound is amazing. Definitely an upgrade. The soundbar alone is impressive especially with the app. Paired with a subwoofer and I created a beast. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Great sound bar

Arrived well packaged. Was a little larger than I thought, looks much nicer in person than in the picture shows. Easy to set up, just plugged it into ARC hdmi port. I put this in a bedroom so it may sound different in a living room, but it sounded great. For a small room it gave off enough bass that you could hear it and the sound was very clear. It paired well with my 43 tv but could work well something a bit larger. It also came with some wall mounting brackets which I did not use. Overall I was quite impressed, I was skeptical of a soundbar with the subwoofer imbedded but for the room it is in it quite the upgrade over the tv speakers.

Very good sound

Set up on LG tv using E Arc with provided HDMI cable. This was the easiest and fastest setup I've ever had. Can't believe how simple and quickly it connected with my 1 year old LG tv.
I've had sound bars that were so complicated and finicky about connection and proper sound that I just gave up on them. What an improvement in sound over earlier sound bars. Impressive surround for movies, music, and just plan dialogue. We watch many old movies and this does a phenomenal job of making the old movies sound good. If you're looking for a simple setup with great sound without going crazy trying to play what you want; this is a superb high value product.

They're very good

The sound quality is absolutely amazing! We watched the new Deadpool movie and it sounded like we were in the movie theater! I have recommended this to my family and friends, and my parents went out and bought the same sound bar.

Phenomenal Sound quality

Absolutely amazing! We connected the sound bar and decided to try it out with a few different mediums. We played video games and we heard so many new sounds we'd never heard before. Tiny little details that we had no idea were in the game. Then we watched a movie and the sound is so clear. The best part is that even with the sound bar set really high, it couldn't be heard outside! It has completely changed our gaming and movies. We now have a list of movies to watch just to enjoy the sound bar. Definitely a fan!

AMAZING

I followed the instructions and made sure I assembled everything in the order outlined and powered it on. Initially, I had to adjust the sound settings on my smart TV to ensure it would route audio through the soundbar instead of the regular TV speakers. After making this adjustment, the soundbar automatically activates whenever the TV is turned on. I encountered a minor setup issue due to user error, as I had placed the device face down until my teenager flipped it upright. Once flipped, I could see the indicator lights when using my remote (ALEXA), and I quickly realized that the audio was indeed coming from the soundbar rather than the TV. The sound quality is excellent and meets my needs perfectly, requiring no manual adjustments. Additionally, this solution has greatly benefited my spouse, who has a hearing impairment, as it eliminates the need to increase the TV volume excessively. Although I received this product at no cost, I am genuinely pleased to have had the chance to experience it, as it turned out to be an essential addition we hadn't realized we needed.

Wish I had tried a sound bar sooner

The sound quality is great, easy to hook up and no bulky box of the subwoofer like I had before and endless wires. I recommend it to family and friends for sure.

This soundbar works great!! It's not too bulky so it fits perfectly on a standard mount. There are 4 modes: stereo, game, standard, and movie which covers all the different modes anyone would need. The clear voice is also an awesome feature that we use to watch pretty much every football game (for clear commentary) and movie (to hear dialogue). Overall this soundbar works awesome for our needs and is highly recommended!!

It's amazing

I've used a lot of sound bars over the years, and this one works exactly as it needs to. It doesn't have any smart-voice features to bog it down. There's no firmware update needed. The phone app is mostly just a clone of the physical remote. I've returned sound bars in the past because the smart features caused more problems than they addressed.

It sounds great and the Dolby Atmos worked with my existing setup. And it fits perfectly in the space under my TV, but came with brackets if I wanted to mount it.

My only issue came up with one of my TVs being a Bravia that doesn't play well with HDMI-CEC with the sound bar to control the volume through the TV, but that's more of a Sony issue than Yamaha.

For the price, the ability to add a wired sub and also get tone controls is fantastic. Overall the sound quality is very good.

Fantastic

This soundbar has amazing sound quality. The speakers are large and project sound well. The speakers look sleek and attractive on my tv stand. It was easy to install and didn't take very long at all. My movie watching experience has improved upon having this soundbar. I received this product free in exchange for my honest review and all opinions are my own.

The volume changes between different stations and when commercials or news stories are shown. I understood volume should remain constant unless changed by the remote. Not so!
