Oly lenses have an excellent reputation---part of my decision to purchase the Olympus e 620. Only question is durability of plastic lens mount.

purchased used from Adorama. Condition was E+. No arguement here. I probably would have called it like new.

This lens is great for everyday use. If you cananot afford many lenses, this is the lense for you. Brings subject "to you" a good amount, but not so powerful that you cannot hold the lens "still" or take photos indoors. I keep this lense on my camera most of the time.

I use this lens as a lightweight "long lens" for field herpetology and reptile documentation photos. The pictures are clear as a bell, and the length allows me to get up close and personal with rattlesnakes without putting myself in the "danger zone". Excellent lens for walking about town, in the desert, or road cruising for rattlesnakes on a spring evening.

Great lens to travel with. I used this lens time and time again, it has not failed me. Great for action shots. When I first got this lens I noticed the difference. Took nature and wildlife photos. MF as well as auto focus works well.

The lenses are both very light. They are not pro lenses, but are great for someone who travels or does general photography. I have taken beautiful images with the camera and lens combinations.

I HAVE THE OLDER VERSION OF THIS LENSE, I DID NOT REALIZE HOW NICE IT WAS TO HAVE THE LENSE BE SMALLER AND LIGHTER ON THIS NEW VERSION. I TOOK IT TO ALASKA AND CANADA. IT WAS EASIER TO USE AND IT WAS NICE TO CARRY LESS WEIGHT IN THE CAMERA BAG. I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY CONS TO THIS LENSE YET. IT PERFORMED WHEN I NEEDED IT UNDER ADVERSE WEATHER CONITIONS. NO FOGGING UP IN THE HIGH HUMIDITY WE HAD. GREAT ALL AROUND LENSE.

I've been using the lens for six weeks, got it as part of a kit with the e-510. I love its sharpness, in particular when using it at full tele for close up shots of plants/flowers. It won't take the place of a macro lens, but it's quite nice at getting close, and the defocusing is very gradual and smooth. It's light and small. The focus-by-wire works well, and the oly feature that allows simultaneous use of manual and auto focus is great. I know it's not as good or fast as more expensive lenses, but if you're looking for a good value in 4/3 in that tele range, this is the one.

Amazingly compact for what it gives. Only affordable zoom I know with non rotating fornt, excellent for filters.

this lens is amazing for the size and weight - pretty good for the money (but I got mine in a kit) marked it down on it's aperture but for the money this is probably a bit unfair! close focusing at about 2 feet so it's pretty handy for those flowers and insects. works with ex25 and ec14 - obviously very slow with the latter.

Olympus Zuiko 40-150 mm lens
By MICHAEL K.
Oly lenses have an excellent reputation---part of my decision to purchase the Olympus e 620. Only question is durability of plastic lens mount.
This Olympus Zuiko digital ED 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 300mm (35mm equivalent) lens in a short 7.2cm body with ED lens elements, ensuring both picture quality and portability. Boasting the smallest size and lightest weight in its class, this cost-efficient 3.8x telephoto lens uses an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens element for optimum correction of chromatic aberrations.
Incorporating a circular aperture diaphragm for beautiful defocusing, this lens assures high picture quality throughout the zoom range. It also provides an astonishingly short closest focusing distance of 90cm throughout the zoom range.
