Works like a charm on the Blackmagic Pocket 4K Cinema Camera. I don't have any problem with EF lenses being used with this speed booster. The 0.64 renders me a really good field of view, which is why I purchased it.

An adapter can save you money in the long run by allowing you to adapter lenses with a different mount than your camera's mount. In addition, a focal reducer like the Metabones Speedbooster can widen the field of view and add up to 1 stop of light. This is particularly helpful with crop sensor cameras like the MFT format.

Well designed and properly working adapter. I use it for BMPCC 4K with my EF lenses. No AF supports for now, but hope that Metabones would update a new firmware to have EF Lens AF support.

I've tried multiple adaptors and as the price might make you assume, nothing really compared to the metabones one. Also 0.64 crop plus 1.33 stops of light make all my lenses far better, definitely an excellent purchase.

It works perfectly. When using with Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 there is vignetting as i expected. PROBLEM- the adapter came with some dust on the glass elements. It makes auto focus motor and iris audible.

The Metabones SpeedBooster XL perhaps represent on of the best of the type currently available. This handy little accessory makes adapting lenses quick and easy. while affording added field of view and increasing light sensitivity by a full stop of light. It's a great product, but not perfect. While AF is supported, the SB does not support continuous AF. So this limitation must be noted. It worked well enough with all of the lenses I tested it with, including the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8. The SB locked up tight to the camera and was never loose. It's a great product and I can recommend it with clear conscience. Just be aware of the limitations.

Works incredibly well. Not as bulky as Aputure DEC Lensregain, and has contacts on both sides. Quick and easy to update. Only downside is vignetting when a Canon lense is under 20mm (I use the sigma 18-35 f1.8 with this mostly). Great for Run&Gun photography and videography. I use mine with a LUMIX G85.

Great adapter, giving it 4 stars only because it doesnt fit as well as i would have liked it to. I feel it will wear down quickly and need to be replaced after heavy use.

What a revolutionary set up!. I can now use my full line of full frame canon lenses on the GH 5 4/3 body and get an extra f-stop of speed as well as an approximate 20% increase in focal length. The firmware update from the metabones website, which may be integrated into the unit by now, took 5 minutes to install; however I was lucky to have the cable available from another source. It should be included in the package if firmwares are anticipated. Autofocus and the other automatic functions make the lenses work as well as the native lenses on my Canon 5Dsr. I'm going to the total eclipse soon so I also bought the metabones T adaptor which doubles the focal length of the lens, but does not increase it's speed. I have put these adaptors through the paces in preparation for the eclipse experience and they have performed well without image degredation. With these two adaptors, I feel like I have a wide range of lens options without having to purchase a single Panasonic lens...what a bargain! Adorama is also a high quality, low friction company to deal with.

If you're like me and most shooters then you've amassed a nice set of lenses over the years. Upgrading your camera may find you changing to another mount type, but you don't want to start from scratch with your lenses. This was a beautiful addition to my gear and works lovely with the GH4. I had no trouble attaching and using this adapter right out of the box. All of the perks you read about are worth it. Extra stop, wider range, etc. It can give additional life and worth to some lesser lenses. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to make decent lenses better and give themselves more options as a shooter with multiple cameras.

I purchased this piece of equipment so that I could use the setup for the GH4 that I have done tons of research on. The Metabones not only fits snug, drops the F-stop and fixes the crop ratio, but it serves as the best tool on the market for adapting lenses to specific mounts. My reason for purchasing the XL over the others was that it is best suited for film and the Canon EF lenses are amazing! I recommend purchasing this item along with the Sigma 18 - 35 art lens!

If you already have the glass, I don't see how this could be a bad purchase. I was going to deduct a star because of the price, but after receiving it and having it in my hands it's amazing. The extra stops, the FR, the ability to use some lenses with character...I'm pleased. It's a mighty device. The autofocus and firmware updates are nice bonuses.

I used this Speedbooster on my newly acquired Panasonic GH4. Lens was a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. I used the lens to photograph my twin boys last softball game of the season. Photos came out so awesome that I decided to film their 8th grade graduation with this same combo. The softball coach approached me a week after the game (during their promotion ceremony) and asked if I was a professional photographer, after seeing the photos I posted on Facebook. For close up shots, I used a Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens. Kids were using the photos I took to adorn their Facebook pages. Everyone loved the photos. One parent even commented "who needs _____ company," after she saw that my photos were better than the professional photographers who were snapping photos at the promotion ceremony. Though this adapter is not inexpensive, I am duly impressed with the quality, and ease of use of this product. The ability to use Canon EF lenses on my micro four thirds camera is awesome. This combo (GH4/Metabones Speedbooster) is all over Youtube and different blogs. If you have the GH4, YOU NEED THIS ADAPTER!
