Amateur photographer finds perfect match!

This was my first prime lens purchased and I?m so happy I went with this. It?s perfect for indoor shots where light might be a little low. Great for snapping pics of children too! I loved the lens hood, huge difference in high light situations. As an amateur photographer this is just perfect!

Great for wide-angle shots

Works beautifully! Really clear quality, takes great images. I was pretty surprised by how small it was, being someone who’s used to DSLR lenses, but don’t let that fool you. This is a great lens.

Does it's job

Don't get me wrong, the pictures are great and crisp and the f stop delivers great quality! There's just something missing with the short shots and lack of speed.

Nice fast lens.

Love this super fast lens with manually controllable f stops for shooting manual. It did take several weeks to get my free $50 gift card however which they sent when I finally asked about it.

Very nice lens, small, focus is accurate but slow to focus.

This lens is amazing, light, sharp, very fast being a 1.4 lens. The reason I gave it a 4 star is that I found it to focus accurately but slow. The F2 lens solves that problem. The 1.4 lens probably is the better lens because it is small for such a wide aperture and if you use wider apertures it is usable in low light and for shallow depth of field.

Excellent Lens with Limitations

I have used this lens several times since purchasing it. The photos appear to be very sharp. I have not analyzed the center versus the corners. I shoot a lot of my photos indoors. I was looking to use this lens at family affairs and events at our religious institution. I wanted a lens that has a large enough aperture to keep my ISO at 3200 or below. I have tended to use this lens wide open or nearly wide open. I also own the 16mm 1.4. I wanted something with greater focal length as I am not always able to move closer to the subjects. Compared to the 16mm, this lens on the XT3 is slower and noisier to focus. It can hunt a bit. It is not weather resisitant. However, I have other lenses to serve that purpose. In any case, photos are sharp and in focus. It admirably serves the purpose for which I bought it. I have not tested continuous focus on moving subjects. However, with the shutter set to 1/125 I feel I have good results with single shot focus.

beautiful pictures!

I have purchased both the 35mm F/1.4 and F/2.0, both are fabulous lenses. They both excel at different things. If you need fast and quiet auto-focus get the F/2.0. If you need the extra stop of light get the F1.4. I sold my F2.0 and kept the F1.4. I am a sucker of the extra stop and the noise does not bother me. The auto-focus is adequate for my needs. Bottom line this lens takes beautiful pictures with amazing background blur.

The best 50mm I've ever used

I owned probably 12 50mm equivalent lenses in my 40 years as a semi-pro. I've had Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Tamron and Zeiss lenses. This is the first 50mm f/1.4 lens I have felt comfortable using at 1.4. All the other 50mm lenses I've used at 1.4 were unusable until stopped down to f/2 or 2.8. But this one begs to be shot wide open. And I am using this on the lowly X-E2s, not one of the pro bodies, but it smokes every Nikon lens I have, as well as the Zeiss 50mm f/2 Makro. It's just that good and makes me wish I could instantly switch to an all Fuji system. But it will time to transition. This lens is just beautiful in every way and I highly recommend it.

It’s a winner!

An incredible lens. Small, light, super sharp, great bokeh! What else could you want? Don’t be intimidated by the reviewers who say it’s slow and noisy- they’re just splitting hairs and propagating what someone else said to promote fear of purchase. Well worth the dough to get great shots, it’s a winner!

Sharp as a tack!

By JEREMY W.

I use this lens on my X-pro 1. This is one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used. It's even super sharp at F 1.4! I use the Fuji X system both personally and professionally. I like the simplicity compactness of the system compared to my Canons. This lens is my favorite in the line up.

FUJI X-F 35MM (53 MM) F1.4 LENS

Want magnification? Aperture for low lighting? An astonishing amount of focus? We all want that. But what if they all came in the same package, specifically the FUJI X-F 35MM (53 MM) F1.4 LENS? Now we’re talking. This lens is not only capable of all of the above, but can handle a wide range of lighting environments and zoom factors to offer a level of versatility that most lenses can only hope for.

Product Highlights

  • Consistency. That’s what you’ll get from the Fuji X-F 35MM lens, particularly as the aspheric and ED elements combat field curvature and aberrations within the chromatic spectrum. That’s a fancy way of saying you’ll be able to take beautiful shots consistently.
  • Durability. Super EBC coating means better optical performance, to be sure, but it also means better durability for every shot you take.
  • Aperture. It’s big in astronomy, but it should be big in photography too—especially when you need the Fuji X-F 35MM lens’ aperture of f/1.4 to squeeze the most possible light out of those low-light situations like weddings, parties, and concerts.

Whether you’re looking for a new or Fuji 35 1.4 used edition, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more effective lens here at Adorama, especially if this product from Fuji suits all of your current lighting needs.

Learn about the FUJI X-F 35MM (53 MM) F1.4 LENS

If the camera’s body is the engine, the lens is just about everything else—the wheels, the steering, the cup holder - the whole shebang. Why? Because products like this FUJI X-F 35MM (53 MM) F1.4 LENS allow you to handle a wide range of cinematic opportunities, giving you more control over your photography and plenty of raw visual power, even in dim lighting situations. In short, the Fuji X-F 35MM lens is a thing of beauty, and Adorama is about to tell you why.

  • Take crystal-clear shots even in the dark. Seem impossible? Many photographers have struggled with the low-lighting problem in the past, working to take better photographs in situations like dimly-lit charity events, wedding receptions, and more. The Fuji X-F 35MM lens takes care of this problem with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, giving you the aperture you need to work in low-light situations. What’s more, this lens is capable of creating a soft atmospheric blur that keeps your subjects in crystal clear focus, making the best possible use of the limited light.
  • Durability means a strong investment. A lens isn’t just about what it can show you: it’s about what it can show you shot after shot. That means durability should be a major concern for anyone in the market for a lens like the Fuji X-F 35MM lens. The Super EBC coating offers improved optical performance here, to be sure, but it also adds some protection to the quality of your photographs. A lens shouldn’t just be durable; its ability to take good shots should be durable, too—and the Super EBC coating is exactly that.
  • Focusing power is key. Don’t believe Adorama? Try out this Fuji-35mm for yourself and check out the performance. The “normal” 53mm (equivalent in a 35mm format) lens can focus to 11”, giving you an astonishing range of focus potential. That means you’ll be able to customize your shot to a high degree—and it also means more versatility for the workable shots you’ll be able to squeeze out of this high-performing lens.
  • An astonishing rear element. You don’t hear about the rear element often listed as a feature, but this lens offers a rear element placed as close as possible to the censor, which minimizes the back focus distance. This may be a subtle feature for the amateur photographer, but for the detail-oriented, it’s a make-or-break feature that’s always in demand.
  • How could we forget magnification? Going up to 0.17x with this lens means you can zoom in to focus on the details that matter. This gives you plenty of magnifying power for still life shots and more.

It’s rare that a single lens is able to transform your ability to capture amazing shots as much as the FUJI X-F 35MM (53 MM) F1.4 LENS can, but then again, this lens is a rare item indeed. With plenty of aperture, magnification, and subtle details that make it stand out from the crowd, it’s hard to not view this lens as anything but an essential piece in your photographic repertoire.
