Nice enough product? though beware of which base you use. The flashpoint base with casters works perfectly? though, nothing else will. I have several different turtle bases and this won't fit in any of them. Including the Flashpoint brand. Its diameter is just a little too big. I would have returned it but it fit into the flashpoint rolling base just fine. Kind of annoying that it doesn't fit in standard size base

I had slowly replaced parts on another C-stand, and was able to create a new one with this.

I do like it, but the wheels take up a lot of space

What a great hight! This 11? foot stand is less than the 8?, so I thought why not? It was the best move!

This riser column and base are very sturdy and heavy duty to say the least. I dont have any worries at all with my strobe and beauty dish attached to it on a boom.

I was pleasantly surprised by the build and quality of this studio stand, particularly for cost. Smooth rotation and roll on the casters, strong lock on the legs (both on opening & at the casters) and good welds/machining overall. Admittedly, I got this to move my 20" production monitor around a studio floor but I have no qualms putting a heavier instrument like a Joker 800 or maybe even an S-30 in a pinch. I have a mixture of Mole, Matthews, American & Kupo gear in my kit and have to say that Kupo is holding it's own so far.

The springs help with the weight. Perfect size for mid to high light positions.

I had slowly replaced parts on another C-stand, and was able to create a new one with this.
The Flashpoint 11' Century C Stand Center Column is the main player in constructing a custom made C Stand or replacing a time-honored C Stand center column. All steel durable tubular riser sections extend from 51" to 132" with a baby pin on top, are spring loaded for safety and join at an aluminum nexus with generous wing locking knobs. The sheer strength of the pillar secures light fixtures exceeding 30 pounds, depending on the options of adding a collapsible wheeled Roller Stand base or the traditional 'Turtle Base' that provides an exceptionally low center of gravity. This shaft is the essential and dominant light modifier support instrument for cinema and still studios.
