In spec but had bad coma, no good for astro wide field imaging.

bought for Milky Way and astro wide field images. But had bad coma on one side of the frame indicating its out of center or alignment. after 30 days couldn't return it, and Sigma said it was 'in spec.' well their quality standard is pretty low.

A well rounded prime lens

The lens is great and produces sharp images with super fast AF. 30mm is a bit tight for certain styles of shooting and wish it was a bit more compact but its great for food photography and street photography. I pair it with my a6600 and the combo works wonderfully.

Very sharp, auto focus is the biggest issue for me.

A very sharp lens, the only problem I?ve had with it is the auto focus is much more finicky for me? it will bounce around between in and out of focus while I?m holding as steady as I possibly can.

Amazing glass

This is still one of my favorite lenses for my Sony a6 series aps-c bodies. The fast f/1.4 aperture makes it great in almost any lighting conditions. Sigma has been a long time third-party favorite of mine, because of their amazingly sharp lenses and equally as amazing prices. You can?t lose, shooting with Sigma glass and this lens is not an exception to that.

Pretty good bundle.

You're paying the same price as just getting the lens but also getting a few extra products with it. Not a complete bargain, but a pretty good deal.

Reviews are accurate, this is great.

Wonderful lens, the reviews are accurate. The shallow depth of field has some difficulty working with autofocus for relatively flat subjects, but otherwise this is a perfect lens.

My favorite lens for people and pets

This is an excellent prime lens. It's very sharp and has great contrast and color. Pictures "pop" with it. The focal length is a great all-around choice, especially for pictures of people. f/1.4 makes it excellent in low light and to create shallow depth of field with smooth bokeh. And the price is great at almost $200 less than the similar Canon EF-M 32mm lens.

Favorite lens for Canon M50

I bought this lens with the intention of leaving it on my camera most of the time for pictures of my family, and it has not disappointed. The photos are beautiful: sharp, lots of contrast, good colors, smooth bokeh. Autofocus is at least as fast as my Canon lenses. And the 30mm focal length on crop is a perfect all-around focal length for people.

A Great walk-around long normal prime

By Lee P.

I wanted this lens for the speed and I am not disappointed. I have found it very usable at wide open and it gives me a nice separation and bokeh. This is my second Sigma lens and I look forward to their future offerings. I feel it is the perfect size for my Panasonic G9. It is not a macro lens but offers enough magnification for my flower photography.

Even better than expected.

By Jacob J.

I was looking for a prime lens for use in low light situations, and after some research I settled on this lens. Although it has an unpopular focal length, I find it to be more "natural" and less "distorting" than the typical normal Micro Four Thirds focal length, 25mm. I tested it's light gathering at its widest aperture and, to my surprise, it is even capable of seeing my shadow cast solely by a Half Moon, albeit barely and at ISO 12,800. Although I bought it for it's low light performance,...
