The A77ii - much to be appreciated and already much achieved. I have spent the last 2 weeks familiarising my way around the settings without being intimidated. Really looking forward to fullfilling its promise.

I?ve been using this camera for a couple of years but due to a lot of time spent travelling (with an RX100m3 on my back) I?m still getting to grips with all the features.

I purchased this camera a month ago to add to my existing A77 & A77ii bodies and would not purchase any other make of camera as Sony use the leading technology and have great customer support should you require it.

Purchased the A77ii for sports photography as the A65 was limited. The sticky autofocus is a great feature.

I have this camera over a year and am a member of a camera club. The A77 is very easy to use and has an excellent range of features including the 'translucent mirror that allows you to see what the photo is going to be before you shoot it. It is hard to fault but like all top of the range cameras you need to get to become familiar with the high-end features to get to really love it. In my work the fact that it has a pop-up flash and GPS metadata are quite important.

I bought my first A77 some two to three years ago and was very impressed with all that was demanded from it then I read independent reviews on the A77 v11 and bought that model a few weeks ago and so far I am delighted with the results this camera coupled with the Sony Zeiss 16-80 has given me.There are some downsides for example the hotshoe will not work with my older Sony flash unit (expensive at the time of purchase) and to buy an adaptor for the camera I feel is "taking a liberty!!!) I use adobe photoshop 6 and now my raw files will not import so I have to use adobe DNG converter or the Sony RAW converter which is not as versatile as the Sony system(the Adobe converter is a free download). Am I satisfied with my purchase well "yes" is the short answer and I look forward to more outings with this camera and other lenses and I will still be using the A77 v1 which is also pleasing to use and handle.

Massive upgrade from the original A77. 79 autofocus points is more than enough and a better performer in low light

So many features, but not too many to confuse. Build quality is excellent, this camera sits in your hand perfectly. Well done Sony.

I now have 2 of these. Great Camera and Low Price. I had many Minolta Lenses for the Film days. This Camera lets Me use all of the older Glass that I bought many years ago. It has a very fast focusing system and easy to use. You don't have to spend the big bucks to have a Great Camera.

I recently purchased a Swarovski STX 30-70x95 spotting scope and TLS-APO digital camera adapter for digiscoping. I have a Sony a99 but it has a vignetting problem so I purchased the Sony a77 because it solved the vignetting problem. The a99 is a full frame camera and the a77 isn't so that is reason for the vignetting on the a99. The TLS-APO isn't set up for full frame cameras. If I use the a99 for digiscoping I have to crop the photo using software, which I can do but that is another step I don't want to do.

This camera is two years old. Yet, Nikon's last two cameras, d7000 and d7100, although both quality cameras, just can't compare with the features this camera has. Nikon is $300. more for their d7100. Both cameras have 50% magnesium bodies and 1/8000 of a second shutter speed. Both have excellent still pics. Sony a77 has excellent video and 12 frames per second at 24 mp. I also love the built-in GPS, the feature list is endless.

The Sony a77 is a remarkable camera that is on the cutting edge. It handles well, and fits the hand perfectly. It's fast, well laid out with the controls, and is a joy to use. The EVF is totally amazing with it's clarity! I'm so happy that I bought it from Adorama and got a lot of perks as well. Great job, Adorama!

I gave a review a short time ago that my auto focus stopped working after 14 months of little use. I called Sony and they run me through the entire operation to tell me that it had to be sent in for repairs.Well after going through the menue and all of the info in the manual i came across AF/Shutter and found that i must have turned it off. Auto focus works now.Patience helps. I will call Sony about my find .The only thing i dont like is battery life.Yes i would recommend this camera to a friend.

For the person who says it has bad low light performance and its a sunny day camera.I am providing proof that is not true. Here is a fast moving bobcat kitten, taken in the wild under the shade of cypress trees on a dark and rainy day. Not just not sunny... there was NO LIGHT!! This was taken at ISO 1000. And I have used ISO1600 with good results too. http://www.flickr.com/photos/feltonphoto/6449650721/ On a sunny day at ISO 200 or 250 or even 320 this camera can get jaw dropping clear low noise photos. You have to know how to use a camera to get the most out of it. I LOVE the EVF !! Let me repeat that, I LOVE THE EVF ! And having 12fps is fantastic. Although I keep it on 8fps most often, as that is usually enough. But 12 fps is awesome to have. 24mp at 12fps, in-camera image stabilization and HD video on a camera this price is unbeatable. The panorama mode works fantastic. And the camera with no mirror slapping up and down with each shot,is very quiet. And the focus is fast and accurate.

All to often folks give kudos to Canon/Nikon and not give any credit to Sony DSLR cameras. I've taken great photos with Minolta/Sony cameras...it's probably the world's best kept secret. I'm truly amazed with the A77.I own 1 film and 3 DSLR cameras - all Minolta/Sony products. I'm not sorry at all!

Excellent camera. I haven't been able to get through all of the features, but so far, it is much more than I'm used to. Now I just need to make time to get out and use it!

Heavy, I have an intention tremor which is eased with heavier weight. My last camera was an alpha 100 so the controls required a bit of learning but not much, this camera is less (much less) noisy at higher ISO's so I can use my slower long lenses with out having to buy new lenses. auto focus is much better and faster. my remote shutter works with this one also. The best part is having an auto focus video, this is my first combo so I no longer have to drag two cameras. Went to dog beach last weekend, great for going between stills and video. The best part is one handed video and how quickly it can focus close up and then distance.

i use this camera mostly for wildlife photography...it is exceptionaly good in most appilcations...it is nosisy in lower light and at higer than 800 ISO's...it is capable of outstanding pictures on sunny days...but not that great on cloudy ones...the 24 mg photos have plenty room for cropping...detail is good...the video mode is outstanding...if sony would provide us with a good fast low light camera they would own thew market because everything but that is premier in this camera..

I have this camera for four months now. I usually take my Panasonic LX5 on my hikes through Southern Sierra for past years. I decided to take my A77 on my hikes this time. It is definitely heavier and bulkier to log it around on a hike, but the images are so clear with such beautiful high resolutions. The Sweep Panorama mode is amazing stitching the photos together automatically for you. The contrast and clarity are simply amazing. Even with sunrise and sunset, it still worked very well, thanks to the companion fast 2.8/16-50 SSM Sony Lense.
