I'm a landscape hobbyist. I've had this lense more than a year. This is my most used lense. Sweet spot is 19-35mm. F4 is plenty for post sunset blue light shots. No tripod needed. Leave it in the car. The lense stabe coupled with the in camera stabe mean you only really need the tripod if you want a long exposure effect in your photos. I don't do astro.

If you shoot real estate, this is the ONLY lens you need! Very sharp, reliable and consistent results. It's a workhorse too as I typically shoot at least 30 homes a month. This lens and my R6MKII is a fantastic combo!

The Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM Lens is a versatile and high-performing ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that stands out in the Canon lineup. This lens delivers exceptional sharpness and image quality across the entire zoom range. Whether you're shooting landscapes, architecture, or events, the images are consistently crisp and clear. With 5.5 stops of Optical Image Stabilization, this lens ensures steady shots even in challenging conditions. This makes it an excellent choice for handheld shooting, especially in low-light situations. The lens is built to withstand tough conditions with weather-resistant seals, making it suitable for outdoor photography. It's also lightweight and compact, which is a huge plus for travel and event photographers. The 14-35mm focal length provides a wide field of view, perfect for capturing expansive scenes and fitting more into the frame. It's also great for creative compositions and unique perspectives. One standout feature is its compatibility with standard 77mm filters, which is not common for ultra-wide lenses. This makes it easier to use existing filter setups without needing special adapters. Overall, the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM Lens performs admirably in various shooting scenarios. Its combination of image quality, stabilization, and versatility makes it a top choice for photographers who need a reliable ultra-wide-angle lens. If you're looking for an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that excels in both image quality and versatility, the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM Lens is a fantastic option. It's well-suited for landscape, travel, and event photography, and its robust build ensures it can handle the demands of professional use.

I took this lens on a one month trip to Japan and it's perfect for landscapes. I took these photos on my Canon EOS R7

First time owning a professional camera. I got a Canon EOS R5 to go along with this 14-35 lens. Plan on doing mostly real estate and golf course shots. So far this is amazing setup. I'm still learning about but the quality it provides is definitely an upgrade over your standard smartphone!

I purchased this lens a week ago and it is fantastic. It's clear and bright, a great range for landscape photography. I wish I would have bought it long ago. I thought my 24 to 105mm would be adequate for good landscapes but I was mistaken.

This is a truly fine lens. I purchased it for landscape work, as I don?t need f2.8 for that application. Having IS is a real plus.

I'm going to compare this to the 15-35 f/2.8 version for explaining my pros and cons. I have used the 16-35 f/2.8 III for many years, so there was a level of expectation that was relatively high. f/4 is the starting aperture for many landscape and wide angle photography needs. f/2.8 is great for low light, but if not in that situation, the f/4 option is perfectly fine, even as far as pro standards go. At wide angles, you won't notice depth of field nearly as much anyway. So with that intro, this lens is a good lens to have. It's light and it goes to 14mm which is incredible and it's a significant smaller price tag to the 15-35 f/2.8. However, the 14mm without lens profile adjustments is somewhat useless in the corners. Very strong vignetting. It's not as noticeable for video as it'll ignore the full frame corners, so for real estate video and the like it's a great lens. You likely wouldn't go wider than f/4 for that in most situations anyway. Unfortunately, though, if you do lens profile adjustments it will crop the images by removing distortion. This results in making it appear tighter than 14mm, thus removing one of the selling points. I will say it does apply a good quality distortion correction, so if you aren't needing every original pixel in the shot, you may really like the result. So if you don't need f/2.8 with the 15-35 counterpart, keep in mind what you gain when you get a wider aperture. You can stop it down to f/4 and avoid the strong vignette. But that comes as a price, and maybe 14 is more important than the vignette benefits of the 15 starting focal length. All in all, I think the 14-35 is a good lens. I don't think it's great coming from years of using the 16-35 f/2.8 III, but it's still very much a pro level lens. Every photographer who has gotten used to having 2.8 lenses likely has a hard time ever settling for a starting aperture that is smaller, but when it comes to ultra wide angle photography, most will never know the difference between f/2.8 and f/4 besides the shooter. For me, the vignetting is why I couldn't keep this lens. The aperture wasn't something I felt I was missing. So if you're ok with lens profile adjustments, I really think this is a high quality lens.

This lens has expanded my horizons for landscape photography. After a several-month dry spell, the RF 14-35 has enabled me to see with ?new eyes?, and my productivity has increased greatly. Auto-focus is instantaneous, and IS works amazingly well. Image quality is superb. This is currently my favorite lens, and I can?t wait to use it each day. Adorama surprised me with free overnight shipping, thanks Adorama!

I was originally going to write a scathing review of this lens. As it turns out, the issue I was having wasn't with the lens at all, it was the software I was using (Lightroom Classic. I was experiencing terrible vignetteing and barrel distortion that was especially noticeable when shooting wide. Lightroom was reading the meta data correctly but was not applying the correct profile in the develop module. Now that I've discovered that, I am totally thrilled with this lens. It is every bit as good as my EF 16-35L that this replaced. Excellent for landscapes and works great for architectural applications as well. I just can't believe I was ready to sell this lens and go back to the EF 16-35L. This lens will be going with me everywhere.

This new RF 14-35 f/4 replaces my EF 16-35 f/4 L lens, which was my primary professional lens for Real Estate photography for many years. That EF glass was so solid I hesitated on the RF, but finally pulled the trigger. A few things jump out at me after a several photoshoots. First, I love (LOVE) those extra two mm at the wide angle. I see less distortion and vignetting at 14mm on the RF than I did at 16mm on the EF. Second, the lens feels lighter and more compact than the EF. Finally AF works great paired with my R5 and the IS has allowed for some low light handheld shots I probably wouldn't have tried before. This lens is a winner and I imagine I?ll get many years of use out of it.

This lens is amazing , sharp, light , no visible distortion at all range , from 14 to 35. But beware , Adobe did not have the profil yet il LR Classic so the results in LR are terrible.. I was about to return the lens but discovered that Using CPP4 , the picture were perfect. LR shows issues , the mail one was heavy black vignetting. I tried other Canon Lens , RF & EF but was not able to remove the vignetting. Vignetting was very strong in the low focal range , not pass 24mm. I enjoy this lens , process my 14-20 pictures with CPP4. I was very slow as I using a R5 file . Mr. or Mrs Canon , please move quickly on CPP 5

Have only had a few outings with this new lens, but so far - it has been a stellar performer. As a landscape photographer and backpacker, lens weight and size are a big consideration for what I am hauling around for days in the mountains. This lens is very light weight and compact for a lens in its class and the image quality from my first outings have been outstanding. Lens build quality appears to be what you would expect from a Canon "L" lens. My first shoot was in some pretty rough conditions, and this lens suffered no apparent ill effects. The few negatives so far, at 14mm noticeable vignetting is present, with a low profile adapter from 77mm to 82mm and a filter attached vignetting was quite pronounced. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. The other consideration is the cost! This is an expensive lens; $700.00 more than the 16-15 f/4 L EF version - also an outstanding lens! --- Worth it?? For me; yes. Overall I am extremely pleased with this lens, and for my longer treks it will take the place of my 15-35 2.8 L - and possibly be my go-to after I have had more time with it.

After a day of usage with this new lens, I could not be more impressed! This lens is really compact and light for a lens in its class, making it ideal for those backpacking expeditions where size and weight are critical consideration for what is to be carried. All the functions and quality you would expect from Canon "L" glass is there, feel and functions are solid and the image quality is simply outstanding! Sharpness corner to corner is remarkable for such a wide zoom lens. The only negative I have experienced so far is slight vignetting at 14mm, fairly pronounced with a filter on (even with an 82mm using a low profile adapter. Overall I am extremely impress with what this little wonder can do, it has already earned a permanent place in my gear bag!
