Fast delivery. Adorama is my go-to source for this battery and I've probably bought 6-10 of them here over the last decade. As this is an older product, I'm happy that Adorama is still selling it here in 2023. I've been burned a few times buying secondhand or when using off brand replacements. Not sure about this. Appears new but it is marked 4 2019 and it looks like I?ll only get 500-600 shots from its first charge. Will try again after charge is depleted. It may improve.

The En-EL4a allows for longer shooting time due to the battery's capacity. It is a needed accessory when hiking or doing weddings.

I use these batteries with my D2x, F6, and D700. You need the battery cap for each body, which is only included in the D2x. BL-3 battery caps used to be very hard to find, but now can be had cheaply to use with the F6 and D700 respective battery packs. The batteries offer excellent battery life and higher frame rates with the F6 and D700 (8fps). The only thing I have that kills the batteries quickly is using an external GPS. This drops the frames per charge from 2000 or so to about 1200 on the D700 and D2x. I would run out of money for film before I run out of juice on the F6 with this battery. A great investment and considering I've been using these batteries for over 8 years and they still hold a charge, they are well worth the price.

Bought my Nikon D300 from Adorama with the MB-10D BL-3 & EN-EL4a in 2007. That EN-EL4a is still in service TEN YEARS later !!! Recently, I added a Nikon D300s to the Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED AF-S VR Zoom NIKKOR Lens I recently purchased from Adorama and a BL-3 & EN-EL4a. Thinking I may purchase another EN-EL4a as a back-up should my original ever expire !

I've had my original batteries to my D3 for almost 10 years now. But they are now starting to fail and these batteries are becoming harder to find. Hopefully, these batteries will last me a few more years because that's the only limiting factor to my D3 body. Otherwise, it's a work horse!
