This is a camera that just works. It's obviously getting older, but it's fantastic and has aged very well. I just recently bought a new one to use as a backup camera after buying a new Canon mirrorless camera. I almost enjoy using this camera more. It has intuitive, physical controls. It feels great in the hands. Nikon menu options are organized in an easy-to-understand way. It's well-built and the shutter clicks with satisfying crispness. Something about it is just delightful to use. The Nikon DX lenses with VR have rather impressive image stabilization. I previously had a D7100, and this is leaps and bounds better. To top it off, it takes fantastic photos. If you're looking for a crisp, wonderful shooting experience, this is a fantastic choice.

I damaged my Nikon D7200, screen broke and auto-focus no longer working. I selected this D7500 as a replacement. A few upgrades from the D7200, and a perfect replacement: my same Nikon lenses work with this camera, and even the batteries are compatible.

I had this camera body before but when our daughter opened her business and needed to do stills and videos, I gave it to her and went back to using an older one that I still had on hand. I have missed this camera since then and I so happy to have one again! The functionality is fantastic and I love the photos and ease in sharing them.

I upgraded from a d3000. I recently started doing some indoor sports photography and felt like I had reached the limits of my old camera. The d7500 was a great choice for me. I also purchased a 24-70mm f2.8 lens and the pictures so far have been really sharp. I am very pleased with my camera purchase.

I am a photography student, and this is the camera the school provided me with. I will say that for what i have used it for came out amazing. I use to have to switch to different lenses to get far out pictures for football and stuff but the one lends takes care of all of it.

I have been a Nikon user for several years and own several of their previous models before purchasing the D7500. In my opinion it's one of the best DSLR cameras out there. I've had mine now for several years and found it to be extremely versatile, easy to use, and produced excellent photographs. It resulted in photos that were far above my ability as a photographer. I recently experienced an unfortunate incident between my camera and the Pacific Ocean. Although I managed to retrieve it, it was damaged beyond repair. I seriously considered replacing it with one of the newer mirrorless Nikon cameras and move into the latest photography trends. However, having enjoyed the D7500 so much that I ultimately opted to replace it with another D7500 which should give you an idea of how pleased I was with this models performance. My transition to a Nikon mirrorless will wait a few years. Until then I expect the D7500 to continue to meet my highest expectations for producing exceptionally clear and vibrant results. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone regardless of the type of photography that you shoot.

In the 80's I used a Minolta XD370 Film camera? and after much hinting my wife got me a D60 Nikon Kit earlier 2000! Still love my D60 but wanted something upgraded and budget friendly. In comes te D7500 and I paired it with a Nikkor 10-24 lens. I already had a 18-55/55-200 from D60 kit. Anyway- the 7500 has been great! Still learning but having fun doing so! No regrets

I was so happy to get this in 2020, and there's no looking back. An excellent enthusiast all-rounder with an improved (deeper) grip, much better internals, and a great sensor. Some things to know: 1) The camera does not have the ability to assign depth-of-field preview to any button, unlike the D500 and all previous D7x00 cameras, and 2) the body has consumer-style linear lugs, not those little circular ones. These ones dig into my right hand and I don't like how that feels. Otherwise, this camea is exactly what you'd expect coming from a D7x00 series camera (or a competing one from Canon) but better. It's been a wonderful companion these past two+ years.

It's a Masked D5. It takes great photos and videos. It ages well so you can keep it for next 5 years. So it's lifecycle is 10 years.

I was in the market for a D7500 to upgrade my D90. Adorama had a "used" one for 25% less than a new one, in "excellent plus" condition - and could return it within 30 days if not satisfied. The order arrived as promised, well-packaged, and the camera looks brand-new, even the box and user's manual. Very pleased with the item, will do some more shooting today.

After a few years with mirrorless cameras I decided to add back a DSLR to my equipment. I've used it for several weeks so far. I love this camera for it's ease of use, easy to find functions, quality of photos, and technology I would expect today with touch screen, transfer to phone via snapbridge and 4K video ability. I get it's heavier but I wanted something more substantial that would hold up quality that wasn't going to break the bank. I'm not a professional and this is more for fun and a hobby but I've been loving the photos.

I have now owned my D7500 for 5 years and I have to say I think this is a really great camera. The camera itself has a lot of functionality that you would find in a higher tier FX style camera like bracketing, dedicated ISO button, dedicated auto-focus adjustment button, 51 point autofocus, dedicated screen on top for all exposure information. It is also a huge step up in ISO range from an entry level DSLR. I really don't have anything bad to say about it other than it is limited by the fact that it is a DX camera. It does suffer from some lens diffraction at smaller apertures but if you figure out what the limits of the camera are you can work around this. This camera has really been the jumping point for me to the next level of photography. If you think you may buy an FX camera some day and you are looking to upgrade from an entry level DSLR but not quite ready to make the jump to FX this is absolutely the best choice in my opinion.

The Nikon D7500 DLSR with the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens is the only camera you will need. The various camera functions from point and shoot to full manual control are amazing. Nikon's Snap Bridge app allows you to control camera functions as well as download pictures immediately to your smart phone.

I recently got a Sigma 150-600 contemp lens and was disappointed with the focusing on birds in flight. I was using an old D7000, and wanted the extra reach of a DX body. So decided to upgrade to a D7500. Amazing what a difference it made to my keeper rate on birds in flight. So much improvement in tracking and locking focus on fast moving objects. Buffer is really improved over the D7000 also. Only slight disappointment is the higher ISO performance. Files seem a bit noisy at anything around 800 ISO and above, nothing that can't be cleaned up in post, but I thought the ISO performance would be equally improved. But overall, very happy with the body for birding.

A Renewed Faith On Nikon!
By Hrits14
I've always been a fan of Nikon DSLRs and I obviously felt bad when I saw a bunch of negative reviews about the D7500 even before it was out in the market. After using the D5100 for last 6 years, I wanted to upgrade to a more professional DSLR, so despite all the criticisms I did preorder the D7500 and received it just 3 days back. After almost 20 hours of rigorous testing, I'm happy to say that I absolutely love this camera. The camera feels great in hand, super easy to use in different posi...

Outstanding performance
By MehdiR
I've been shooting with D5300, D5500, D7100, D500, D750 and D810. This camera is outstanding. Not only in image quality and ISO performance but also focusing system, the D7500 shoots 8 frames per second exceptionally well and accurate. This baby D500 surprised me with it's remarkable performance, My only complain is second SD slot removal and I don't know why Nikon decided to remove it from 7000 series.
Borrowing from the best of what the award-winning D500 had to offer but in a more practical and user-friendly body, the new D7500 from Nikon delivers flagship performance for photographers seeking class leading image quality. The top-tier D7500 features the same 20.9 MP DX-format image sensor and EXPEED 5 image processing as the D500, but the body is similar to the D7200. Read More
Born from a desire for flagship performance and innovation in a more compact and streamlined connected camera, the D7500 delivers the game-changing resolution, ISO range, image processing and energy efficiency of the award-winning D500 in an enthusiast-level DSLR. Simply put, the D7500 is built to outperform any camera in its class with top-tier image quality, blazing speed, flawless autofocus, 4K Ultra HD video and pro-grade creative tools—all in a comfortable, rugged design. This is a camera for the new generation of creators.
The D7500 uses the same 20.9 MP DX-format image sensor and EXPEED 5 image processing engine as the D500, taking your photos and videos to the next level. Capture with phenomenal sharpness and tonality, especially in low light situations like concerts, sporting events, parties and events.
With a wide ISO range up to 51,200, remarkable noise reduction, rapid write speeds and virtually zero lag, the D7500 is ready for your next challenge.
Lock on to fast subjects with 51 available focus points, 15 cross-type sensors and group-area AF for sharper, faster detection in low light.
The D7500 uses the same 180,000-pixel RGB sensor as the D500 to detect human faces and improve AF performance during high speed shooting.
Tilt the large 3.2-in touchscreen up or down to shoot at high or low angles and simply touch where you want focus when using Live View. Quickly swipe through your shots, pinch to zoom and more.
The D7500 uses a Monocoque design and extensive weather sealing to withstand moisture, dust and some heavy use.
Slimmer ergonomics and a deeper grip improve stability for handheld shooting and comfort for all day shooting or using telephoto, tele-zoom or all-in-one NIKKOR lenses.
DSLRs excel at energy efficiency, and the D7500 is particularly efficient. Capture approximately 950 shots on a single battery charge.
