My Favorite Lensbaby Lens
Yields a perfect soft bokeh from any angle. This is now my 'go to' Lensbaby lens. It doesn't get any better. I've mainly used it to shoot flowers and mountain landscapes thus far but we are traveling to the beach together soon and I can't wait!
The Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic is an 80-mm, flat field of focus optic with a 12-blade adjustable aperture and is compatible with all Lensbaby lens bodies. When tilted, the Edge 80 delivers a slice of tack sharp focus through the image, bordered by soft blur. When pointed straight ahead, the Edge 80 can be used just like a high-quality straight lens.
When tilted, the size of that slice of focus depends upon the aperture used, and the placement of the slice of focus depends upon the degree and direction of tilt. Rotating the aperture dial on the front of the optic changes between apertures from f/2.8 through f/22.
The Edge 80 also features a special close-focus function. Photographers can extend the front of the optic to focus as close as 17" away from their subject. Want to see even closer? Add on the Lensbaby Macro Converter.
The Edge 80 Optic is part of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System. An incredibly versatile portrait lens, Edge 80 can also be used to a great effect in any situation that lends itself to selective focus from food photography to giving landscapes a "miniature" appearance. The Edge 80 has 46mm threads so it is not compatible with the Lensbaby 37mm thread accessories.

- Size of selective focus region is controlled by the aperture; location of the region can be modified by tilting the lens
- Rounded 12-blade aperture creates a smooth bokeh and is controlled by a dial on the front of the optic
- Focus as close as 17" (43.2cm) when lens is fully extended, in macro mode and tilted
- Compatible with the Lensbaby Composer Pro, Composer, Muse, Scout and Control Freak lens bodies (Not compatible with the Composer with Tilt Transformer for Micro Four Thirds and Sony NEX cameras)
- 46mm front filter threads allow compatibility with Lensbaby Macro Converters, but do not work with 37mm accessories
