I got this to take out kayaking. Waterproof and small makes it easier on the water.

I will use this camera in outdoor shots in messy situations where a regular camera might not hold up.

I gave this as a gift because I have a previous model and have been very happy with it. Sometimes I am amazed at the quality of the photos I get. The recipient loves this newer model. She took burst-mode photos in a low light room without the flash and got entirely acceptable photos.

I'll be giving it the ultimate test here soon on a trip to the Grand Cayman's. I am leaving my DSLR at home.

I hope its really waterproof and shockproof, didn't test yet. Otherwise I wouldn't buy it, because picture quality is not the best, but this camera is for adventure, so not the biggest demands for stabilized image.

This is my second waterproof camera. I've mostly shot videos with it from my Sea-Doo and of the Sea-Doo from in the water. It's great to be able to zoom while shooting the video. A tip for consistent color in videos in daylight conditions: Instead of Auto, set the ASA is to 100 & White Balance to Daylight. Also, it has tons of settings and the controls are convoluted, so practice (alot) before you head out to your water, snow or other adventure. I've posted on VIMEO[dot]com/25954163

This is a very nice camera, BUT the main reason I bought it was its geotagging capability. Frustratingly all the necessary information shows up in the camera, but only Lat. and Longitude data are stored as metadata, NOT country, State, City, etc.
