A good mid-level camera body! Now I own 2!

So far so good! Has pretty sharp focus . Not like a dslr but at least you can pick your own settings. The view finder is digital so like I said not a typical dslr. So far it’s doing a good job for me. I wanted something I could use manual settings with and light enough to take with me when riding horseback.

This camera in my opinion is a worthy successor to my 2 EM-10 Mk 1 bodies. It's as well built, offers some additional features and is one of the greatest bargains in micro 4/3 equipment I have observed.

Having made the decision to make the switch from a DSLR system in which I had made no small investment, I am so happy with my decision to purchase an OM-D E-M10 Mark II. I was introduced to photography with the OM-10 of the 1980s, but have been away from the brand for several years. This camera is like an old friend, yet cutting edge in its features, construction and technology. The build quality is second to none. I especially appreciate the industry-leading image stabilization. I have been able to achieve excellent results in low-light conditions with hand-held shots. So impressed, and an excellent platform as I build a lens inventory with an eye toward upgrading to an OM-1, just as I did in the '80s. History repeating!

Having owned the EM10ii, this camera has been a welcome upgrade. As with many of the Olympus cameras, they tend to include MORE than expected in regards to features. Unlike other brands, Olympus bucks the trend by not withholding features unless there is a hardware limitation. Camera offers many features for the starting amateature as well as the advanced enthusiasts. This camera is rich in features and flexibility. If you area already an experienced shooter in other brands and are wanting an inexpensive entry level camera into the mirrorless world, I would highly recommend this one, maybe even over the E-M10mIII.

Great viewfinder allows me to shoot without glasses. The OM-D E-M10 allowed me to start out with good auto-settings, then begin customizing my shots as my knowledge of the camera and photography have grown.

Replaced my 4 year old E-PL5 with E-M10 mark ii which's much better! I paired it with 12-40 f2.8 Pro lens and the combo produces stunning images!

I have owned this camera for nearly two years and it is extremely hard-wearing, barely having any dings or scratches. I love it’s aesthetics. It has many many features and allows me to take excellent photos. Everyone always comments on the outstanding quality of the colours in my photos...and I am not much of a computer editor really. I bought this upgrade as I also owned the PEN E-PM1 for approx 5yrs which I loved however I broke the kit lens in an accident. So instead of replacing the lens I upgraded the whole camera to this OM-D E-M10 Mk II. No regrets! I do however keep my E-PM1 ready to go with the zoom lens - which survived the accident, unscathed - attached. Best of both worlds..

Best value in the OM-D line up. The built in features like IBIS, Focus Bracket and Live Composite are very unique and useful.

I have been shooting photographs for over 40 years and my collection of gear was literally weighing me down. Once I held the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II in my hands I knew this was the camera I needed. I purchased my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Last November and since then I have not put it down. Okay, I do put it away when I go to sleep. Although the E-M10 Mark II is advertised as the entry level model of the OM-D series, it's a distinctly mid-level camera. I am far from being a pro-photographer, but this camera gives me pro-results. The abundance of controls make it a camera with plenty of room to grow with my abilities. The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II is an excellent value for the money. It has professional-grade ergonomics and incredibly good image quality. I love this camera!

I love this camera and it's features. The retro look is awesome. I'm just a photography enthusiast and I decided to go for mirrorless instead of a traditional DSLR. Then after a few days online search I chose EM-10 Mark II and bought it. It's been 3 months now and I still love it.

Have owned Olympus cameras before and have never been disappointed with the performance and image quality. I like the style and features on this one and has not disappointed me. It is slightly smaller than the other Olympus cameras I own but it’s not that much of an issue for me not to use it. For me this makes a great travel camera without all the bulk you find in larger DSLRs.

I have had the OM-D E-M10 Mark II only a short while so this review may best be considered a series of first impressions. I wanted a camera that was capable but light and the OM-D E-M10 Mark II more than fulfills this requirement. I have the 14-42 EZ lens, which retracts when not in use. The 40-150 zoom lens is sharp but incredibly light. Contrary to some reviews, I have not found the menu system to be complex. That said, this camera has a myriad a features and learning them all takes time. The image quality is excellent with pictures tending toward the warmer side, especially when compared to my Sony. The only other thing I have found is that the iAuto setting locks in the iEnhance picture mode and a setting called Keep Warm Colors. The combination of these two, especially in low light settings, such as a room at night lit by incandescent light, causes photos to be over saturated and gives them a distinct orange cast. This can be solved easily, however, by changing the Keep Warm Colors setting to Off (works in all other modes but iAuto) and moving to the Program mode on the dial, which by default, uses the Natural Picture mode (3). Overall, I am very pleased with the camera and look forward to leveraging all of its capabilities. It is marketed as a beginner camera but possesses features not found on cameras costing many times more.

Was able to borrow it for a month to compare it with my OM-D E-M10. This newer model improved on quite a bit from the old model. I like the position of the power switch and the chunky dials! Performance is more or less the same but the usability has improved.

I was looking for a daily use camera that would take outstanding pictures with readily available options that suit various occasions and I am totally satisfied with this camera! It is fast, small, full of features (wondering if I will some day use all of them ...), simple to use. The only point I will like to see available is the option to increase the character size on the screen (some of us are not young anymore...). Also being an Olympus guy, all my old lenses are adaptable to the 4/3 and it is great savings for me!

This is the first camera I have owned with interchangeable lenses. I was looking for something that was a good size for travel but took better pictures than my old point & shoot. I have mostly used auto mode & have had fun playing with the creative features. I find the controls & menus easy to navigate which is encouraging as I learn how to use more manual options.

I bought the OM-D E-M10 Mark II on a whim with some bonus money. I was not disappointed. This camera is excellent. I love the EVF - being able to "see" the exposure levels before taking the picture allows fine adjustements of exposure. I also love the live bulb/live time ability to "see" the image develop; this is really useful for astrophotography. I love the ability to use adapters for other lenses (while I save up for the Olympus 12-40mm F/2.8 - I've rented this lens and it is aweseome). Image stabilization is also an excellent feature on this camera. All round I really recommend this camera - it is excellent. Why not five stars? Menus can be a little complex and take some getting used to - there is a way to turn everything on and I would strongly recommend this...

As a previous user of PEN E-PM2, this camera is a significant upgrade. Picture wise is pretty much the same because of the same sensor used by both. But in terms of usability, this camera is fantastic! Gorgeous viewfinder, sharper and tilting rear LCD, focus peaking, and the best part, 5-axis IS. Many upgrades, but with a little increase in weight and overall dimensions. It also eases the use of legacy lenses I had. Got the Olympus refurbished, which made it even sweeter!

I really like this camera. I got it as a certified refurb for a great price and it has a good build quality, but not as good as my OM-D EM-5 mark1. That should not be a problem though if you are gentle with your gear. I bought it for the additional features my EM-5 does not have. Better video, focus peaking, wi-fi, and more advanced touch features. Be aware though, a previous reviewer said Olympus viewer has controls to simulate the Pen-F creative dial and I do not think that is accurate. This camera DOES have art filters, which there are a couple that I like better than creative dial but they are not the same as the creative dial. I also feel the creative dial can be simulated in Light Room or other editing application.

I had the original em10 until a looong 50 foot drop shattered the camera and the lens on it. Oops. EM10.2's are fantastic buys especially if you can buy them refurbished but even at full price they are everything the EM5's and Pens are. While this camera lacks the art dials of the Pen F you do get access to them in the Olympus Viewer software. The tilting LCD screen probably makes this the most useful Olympus camera at the cost of self video and selfies. This camera greatly benefits from the more expensive UH-2 memory. In practice I shoot raw and jpeg, and throw away 99% of the raws, but having a fast memory card makes the camera so responsive that I don't notice if there's even a buffer, and reviewing pictures is extremely quick. If you use slower memory then the camera handles quite slow, on the order of 8-12 seconds for shots. Interestingly, if you set the camera to full manual including focus then it handles quite similar to my film OM-1, even including the on switch and dangling metal eyelets.

Purchased for a backup to my Em-1 plus for my wife. Excellent photos a little slower than the Em-1 but my wife does not care. The lens are interchangeable which was a real plus. I think size is small for my fingers but my wife loves it for her hands.

I bought this camera after I tried the 75mm 1.8 on a Pen F and had to have a body on which to use it. I wanted the most affordable, compact body that still maintained high-level customizability (and a viewfinder), as I was really only jumping in for one lens. (Full disclosure: I'm primarily a Sony shooter, non-professional, but open to all brands.) I've now had the camera for over a year, and I could not be happier. I added the 45mm 1.8 lens to my arsenal as well, and the best way I can describe the E-M10 II is "batting way above its class." Though M4/3s uses a significantly smaller sensor, I haven't found any quality difference between the pictures I take with the E-M10 and those I take with my APS-C camera. The dials on the E-M10 (which are more or less the same on the 5 and 1) are the most comfortable and logically-placed that I have ever used, which makes it an absolute joy to shoot with. I'm also a bit of a menu/option enthusiast, and Olympus does NOT disappoint with their level of customizability. Almost anything you could want to customize is in the menu somewhere. Having taken the camera throughout Colorado and to Iceland, Ireland, and the Cook Islands, the only thing I've found that I don't like is that my nose tends to move the focus point when I'm switching to the viewfinder. Olympus does give you the option to turn off the touch screen functionality, but I find the experience of reviewing photos using the dials to zoom/switch photos and the screen to swipe-pan to be so delightful that I live with the focus point issue. If there's an option to ONLY disable the touchscreen when shooting, I haven't found it (Olympus, take note!). Otherwise, my experience has been superb. I almost opted for the E-M5 for its creative use of sensor stabilization technology (e.g. high-resolution mode), but unless you specifically need that or the weather-proofing, I can enthusiastically recommend the E-M10 II for all uses. Every image I've taken (barring shaky and badly-composed ones) is satisfactory or better, and many are breathtaking.

My first digital camera, besides the point and shoot variety, was the Olympus E-M10 Mark I. It was the camera that pulled me away from film, which I'd been shooting for years and still shoot. I remember the first time I saw one in person and I was floored by the design of the body. I had no idea what Olympus was doing in the digital world because all I cared about was film. When my daughter was born four years ago, I still shot film and her first few months are captured in B&W. However, I grew tired of looking at baby photos in B&W, especially since she looked like I did when I was a baby and all my baby photos are in B&W. I knew it was time for a good digital system and my search began. I looked at every brand's offerings and very quickly decided the OM-D E-M10 was the way to go. It didn't take long to adjust to shooting digital and I started adding some lenses to my system. I also took advantage of the ability to use legacy glass, the old stuff that no one wanted back then. For a few years I was happy as could be and got some stellar shots. When the Mark II came out, I knew I wanted to get one and so I did. I had my Mark I converted to shoot UV/IR only and I use the Mark II for all my "normal" photography. It's a joy to use. The upgrades from the Mark I are worth the investment and the ability to hand hold slow shutter speeds is amazing. IBIS is where it's at. I love the Composite feature as well. I also like the size and portability of the body and lenses. I can carry several lenses and the body in a full frame body carrying case. It's light as a feather, but very sturdy. As a film shooter, with bodies that have dials and knobs, I'm at home with the dials and buttons on this body. Some say the menu is overwhelming, but I disagree. Yes there are options galore and if you wish to use them all, it may take a while to familiarize yourself with the options. That being said, I considered it a joy to learn and realize all the camera's potential. Last, but not least, the ability to use almost any lens ever made is HUGE in my book. I can use my film glass on this body and while I have to manually focus my shots, the focus peaking feature makes it a breeze. I will always use Olympus digital bodies and lenses and I can't wait to try out the Mark III!!

This goes for MFT cameras in general, but E-M10 II is perfect for everyday use. One of the problems of DSLRs is that its weight keeps me from carrying it in my everyday life. But for my E-M10 II along with prime lenses like Leica DG 15mm Summilux or M.Zuiko 25mm F1.8, I almost always carry it without noticing the weight too much.

I can't say enough good things about this camera. I purchased it about 3 months ago with high hopes it would be my new hobby. The big bulky DSLR made it harder to love taking pictures. I've used this camera more in the last 3 months than I've used the DSLR in the past 5 years. Instructions and settings were overwhelming at first but it didn't take long to catch on. I use this camera almost daily because its so simple to use and take anywhere. The quality of the photos never disappoint. The wifi and Olympus upload app make this the absolute perfect camera for me.

This camera has been nothing short of awesome! Compact little powerhouse of features, and very easy to use. Only reason I will be getting rid of it is to upgrade when I have some extra cash laying around for some weather proofing.

I upgraded my EPM1 for the em10 mk ii. The mini is actually still shooting but I decided to go for the em10 mk ii mostly because I couldn't resist and I haven't had a second of buyers remorse. Only been shooting with it for a few weeks and I'm thinking it'll last forever since all of my other Olympus have. The camera is so solid, nothing about it feels precious and even the weight and size is perfect for my usually munch too tiny hands! I love it, so far even shooting vintage glass is smooth shooting. The built in flash is ingenious and I like the hot shoe it still has, it's literally perfect :) Simple workflow for transferring and uploading images with the share app, which so far is also quite solid.
