Excellent EDC camera! Very portable, packs a punch with capabilities and APS-C depth & clarity. My only downside is battery life. Each battery is good for 100-125 shot. Carrying extra batteries is easy and it can easy recharge on power bank while traveling.

Absolutely love this little beast. Great sensor, fantastic colors SOOC and the ability to tweak recipes for instant JPEG download to phone and into social media are a real bonus. The portability and discreteness of this camera are it's real values, I end up taking it out most of the time in my pocket, and very few people care what you're doing when you can't bring a camera up to your eye.

This is a very good camera and hard to get it from the market. Only Adorama has it. The expected deliver time is faster than the original plan and shipping package is perfect to protect my gear~

I have had this camera now for well over two years, and I am extremely pleased. As someone who has both the III and the IIIx, I will say I am glad to have both, especially as most of my work is not street photography, and a wide angle is not necessary, so I enjoy the versatility. The speed, image quality, and the fun aspect of the colour profiles all make the camera a joy to use. One aspect that I will note, is that as a woman with small hands, this camera is much more comfortable for me than even some other compact cameras, though others might find it small or difficult to grasp securely. It s so light, i can happily walk around for hours with the camera in hand (I heartily recommend a wrist strap). I have never found the battery life to be an issue, simply because it's easy enough to keep a few spares in my bag. I have found the backscreen easy enough to use, even in bright sunlight, and I especially like how small and unobtrusive it is, as I am quite shy about offending or upsetting someone if I am doing street photography.

Although it's not the most convenient camera to use, especially because of the lack of viewfinder and tilting screen, it fits just fine in a pants pocket. I can carry around a high-quality camera with the ease of a cell phone. The lens and sensor Are well matched

The best camera is the one you have with you and for me, that's this one. Leaves nothing to be wanted.. well, maybe a little pop-up flash ;) Love the 35mm equiv....

I freaking love this little camera. It is perfect for every day carry and the raw files are crazy good for such a compact camera. I can throw it in my backpack and not feel like I am missing any photo ops on hikes. The macro setting is so fun too for small flowers. I loved it so much I got one for my sister in law. My only recommendation is to buy extra batteries, it will drain them pretty quick.

I have long missed a true compact since the film days, but have not been able to find one due to a lack of form factor and the right lens. The GR IIIx delivers. The 40mm lens is just perfect for a compact, bringing me back to the Contax T2 days. In combination with the sensor and Ricoh algorithm, the results are some unique and appealing image files. This all fits in your pocket. All this considered, the asking price is very reasonable

It's my first ever camera, and I'm still getting the hang of it but it works great and even tho I have no experience with photography I have managed to capture some great photos so far!! Love it !

Absolute quality camera! So fun and easy to shoot. The "Positive Film" filter is my favorite if shooting jpeg. Feels perfect in the hand. The images are super sharp. I highly recommend the Ricoh leather case model number GC-11 for protection and to avoid dust in the lens. Also the thumb grip from JJC is 100% a must. Worth every penny!

Love this little camera! I've owned (a couple copies of) the GRIII, but always struggled with the 28mm focal length. This is the answer. The lens is tac-sharp when stopped down, great falloff when shot wide open. Definitely not the same street shooter as the GRIII due to the focal length, but I am in love with this one. I bring it everywhere - the main advantage!

The camera is great, however the ProOptic screen protector that was also an item that I BOUGHT in this did not fit. Adorama claims it will fit and is arguing with me about how the ProOptic screen saver should fit and its been 3 weeks dealing with tech support tell me I'm wrong. I just asked for a replacement or a refund and I cant get either. Horrible customer service.

I bought this camera because I needed a truly pocketable camera (not just compact like an X100V, but truly actually fits in a pocket). Considering how incredibly tiny it is, the image quality is superb, and really shines in contrasty direct sunlight. The biggest complaint I have is with the auto focus selection points, it often misses focus even when it should be clear what I'm pointing it at. My primary camera is a canon R5, so I'm spoiled by its lightning fast AF, and it's not fair to compare this to that. But really, that's my only complaint! Weather sealing would be nice, but not the end of the world. Would definitely recommend if you want something light, compact, but still great images.

I've been a GR fan for a while. I've also been a fan of the 40mm field of view. The 40mm lens on this camera is probably my favorite ones I've used. It is even sharper than the GRiii, and its sharp wide open, even in the corners. The contrast and compression has this beautiful look to it that's hard to describe. Other than the lens, it's a gr. It's a great camera. It's not for everyone, but it's the best every day carry camera you can get, and the 40mm of the X is probably a little easier to use for most people. I used to have fuji cameras, but I've since sold all my cameras and now only have the GRiii and iiiX. If you managed to find out about this camera, and you're here, looking at it, you probably won't regret picking it up. It's amazing.

This camera has its own little niche, but it does take great photos, especially considering the size. Get a couple extra batteries and you're good to go. Moment customer service was also great when I had a shipping address mishap (totally my fault) and everything arrived quickly without issue.

My main camera is a Sony A7RIV, and while it is svelte for a full frame camera, it is not small enough to be a take-anywhere camera. I typically shoot only with primes for the more limited depth of field and the ?constraint? of being limited to only one focal length. I?ve had my eye on the GR for years, but I never pulled-the-trigger, because if I only have one focal length I prefer 40 to 50 mm. The GRIIIx fits that bill perfectly, so I decided to take the plunge and I am so glad I did. Compared to the A7RIV or the more closely comparable A7C, the GR does not have the same dynamic range or noise-floor, but it is one or more orders of magnitude better than similar-sized point-and-shoots. The lens is super sharp. The raw files handle wide adjustment in LR. The menu system is simple and great. The range of features is ideal for the photographer. Auto focus is very good for a contrast system. Manual focus is too clunky to use. Forget about movie mode. A photographer?s camera.

Convenient.. compact.. beautiful images.. The only thing I don?t like is the battery life, usually go thru 2/3 batteries walking the streets all day

After seeing many reviews on YouTube, I was compelled to give this camera a shot. Often, I?m lugging around a Sony a7rIV with multiple lenses which felt overkill for many occasions. While wanting to trim some weight from my bag, I find the Ricoh griiix a perfect compromise between picture quality and portability. The color profiles are amazing and this camera truly is fun to shoot with and the 40mm brings me back to my early days of photography! Like any piece of tech, there are a few drawbacks such as the mediocre video quality and I find some of the controls/ customization will take time to master. Overall, I would give this camera a solid 7.5/10

Stealth and quality
By FRED H.
The Ricoh GR IIIx and the original Ricoh GR are masterpieces of engineering. As inconspicuous as an iPhone, actually easier and faster to use, and the image quality far surpasses any phone, especially in adverse conditions such as low light, contrasty lighting, backlighting, etc. Image quality competes with the best DSLR and mirrorless cameras, with a package you can carry around in your shirt pocket. Highly customizable, it works for the photographer that likes everything manual and the phot...
