This 2x Teleconverter works really well. I'm new to macro photography so I'm still getting use to finding my subject while zoomed in so close. The image quality is great and exactly what I expected.

Works exactly as it should with my 40-150mm OMD PRO lens. I haven?t yet tried it in relatively low light, but it works very well in an Arizona summer?s day!

As a long time shooter of another major brand, I?m constantly impressed with the quality of Olympus gear. I should have know, actually, since I had an original Olympus Pen 1/2 frame 35mm as a teen. Their optics are amazing and this teleconverter is no exception. The images taken with the 40-150mm f/2.8 using this teleconverter are exceptional. Well worth the money!

I wonder why Olympus hides the fact that the excellent MC-14 also works with the 100-400mm F5.0-6.3? Above on this page it says "Compatible with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO and M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm F4.0 IS PRO lenses'. I get fabulous results with the E-M1 Mk III, the 100-400 plus the MC-14, handheld, 1120mm in 35mm equivalence! Weighs only 1.9kg (4.18 lbs)!

I've used the Nikon 1.4x extenderwith great results but I just now compared that with an f2.8 70-200mm on a D800 to the 2.0x Olympus telextender with an f2.8 40-150, across their entire zoom range and the 2.0x was brighter in the viewfinder and crystal clear, corner to corner, all at a greater power and despite the extra f stop loss. So glad I chose the 2.0x over the 1.4x.

I bought the teleconverter to use with a M.Zuiko 40-150 Pro lens, and am happy with it. I find it hard to produce the kinds of images I want when using it hand held, but that's no big surprise. However, I get decent results hand held when there is strong light. Even with a tripod, I expect a slight drop off in sharpness, but I have not verified this. If it is so, I think that is an acceptable exchange for the added reach at relatively low cost.

Used with 40-150mm f2.8 pro, the details are blurred even if I put the camera on tripod and shoot in delayed silent Shutter. The detail loss is very obvious. You can get better result by just cropping the photos taken without the TC said if you don’t plan to print.

This teleconverter is a wonderful addition to enhance ability to photograph birds from a safe distance to not startle them or affect their behavior. Paired with my 300 mm lens, the images are clear and lovely.

2X teleconverters have always been a challenge to use with some compromise required. Olympus did a great thing designing this high quality attachment by limiting it to two only two lenses currently.

This teleconverter works flawlessly with the 40 - 150 PRO lens. Image quality is not visibly effected. It is light and ruggedly built. A no-brainer if you need some extra reach.

My first thought once I pulled this item from the package was "wow, that's tiny". I've used 1.4x and 2x teleconverters for full frame over the years, and this is barely noticeable when it's on the 40-150 PRO lens. The image quality is top notch when using this TC, and I can't see any degradation of the image at all on my E-M1 II. It's just an outstanding little piece of glass. It's expensive for such a tiny item, but I still highly recommend it if you have one of the lenses it'll work with.

I have had my micro 4/3, MC-14, 1.4 X tele converter for about a week, and it works very well on the 40-150 Pro lens. I get a reach of 210mm (420mm on a 35mm system), which gives a good image size at 40 to 50 feet. With my 50-200 and its 1.4X converter, at the same distance, a squirrel fills the frame about 35 or 40 percent; so this should result in the squirrel filling maybe 30 percent of the image frame, which would allow for a good composition. I?ll wait for a warmer day to put peanuts where I want the squirrel, and then wait for that magic moment. Image quality of everything I have shot thus far has produced very sharp images. I just have to adjust ISO high enough to get a faster shutter speed (if shooting in ?A? mode) or select a faster shutter speed to compliment the focal length. When trying to be mobile, I like the feel of the set-up of my E-M1 with the 40-150 Pro and the MC-14, both with and without the HLD-7 battery grip; but definitely WITH the grip is better. Using a faster shutter speed still, say 1/2000, really helps when shooting a long lens hand held. (the lens and your converter make up your focal length) The only problem I find is, my MC-14 converter is Very tight when mounting to my E-M1; it is really difficult to remove. I do Not see how Olympus?s Quality Control or Engineering Design Team could miss tolerances so much on the MC-14, when they have the MMF-3 unit to go by, for example.

If you're taking shots of the moon with your 40-150pro, get this adapter. The added detail without sacrificing sharpness is just awesome! Quite by surprise, I discovered that this teleconverter also works with my M. Zuiko 50mm Macro (4/3 mount). In this instance, the correct M4/3 to 4/3 adapter is essential. I actually have both the Panasonic and Olympus adapters. Trying the Olympus first (it is weather sealed afteral!) I found that it feels too tight and just won't quite lock into place with the teleconverter. I'm not sure if it would work by forcing it a bit, but the Panasonic adapter slides into place with minimal effort, so I chose to not risk damage. But combined with the teleconverter, my 50mm becomes a 70mm macro, and opens up new options. I'm sure the teleconverter would work on other 4/3 lenses as well, but the macro was just a really nice surprise!

I'm using this on Olympus' M.Zuiko 40-150mm f2.8 lens. You lose one stop of light sensitivity (f2.8 becomes f4.0 automatically) and gain substantial zoom. The MC-14 teleconverter is just as well built as the PRO series lens it attaches to. When you see its size you'll realize how easy it is to travel with via pocket, carry pouch or small camera bag spot. In use, photo quality remains excellent. It will only work for the lenses specified by Olympus (40-150mm f2.8 PRO & 300mm f4.0 IS PRO (late 2017) - don't experiment and risk damaging other lenses).

The MC-14 is built for the m.Zuiko 40-150 PRO Lens, and right now, for nothing else (it will work the the forthcoming 300mm PRO Lens). I recently purchase both the lens and this teleconverter. This instrument extends the telephoto to 210mm and is quite capable of contributing to images on par with the lens by itself, while extending the telephoto range. The teleconverter is solid in its' construction, and the connection to both the camera body and the lens is firm and tight. I am very pleased with my copy, with the images the MC-14 has contributed to, and the setup as a whole. A solid purchase.

I use this to on my 40-150 Pro lens. Best results require stopping down half stop, especially since this is will likely be used at the long end which is the softest. The TC also increases the mag and of the lens from about 0.2x to 0.3x making it fantastic for outdoor closeups of bugs and flowers, with even more reach.

If you are going to splash out for the 40-150 PRO Lens you should absolutely extend its range with this teleconverter. It is a useful amount of magnification (from 300-420mm FF equivalent) that can make a big difference in the size of your subject without degrading the image quality. You will only want to use it within that range because of light loss (f/4 instead of f/2.8) but I find myself attaching it frequently to get that much closer to birds in trees or skittish animals. It comes in a padded pouch that can clip on the lens bag included with the zoom. Compact, useful and high quality.

Love the extended reach with the 1.4x converter- extends my 4-150mm to 420mm equivalent and my 300mm to 840mm. I have not seen any degradation in the sharpness of images when coupled with either of these 2 lens.

If you own the 40-150 2.8 pro, the MC-14 is a must have. Looking at my images, I can't tell which were taken with and which were taken without the MC-14 - that is I can't find any significant image degradation when using the MC-14. You lose a stop but gain a 56-210 reach - so in good light it is a no-brainer.

Bought this to add a bit of reach to my 40-150mm f/2.8 Pro, and I'm very pleased. First impression was how tiny it was! I used the EC-14 on the 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5, so I haven't recovered all the reach I had with that lens, but for extended walks this is a much more comfortable solution. The optic performs superbly, and the fit is excellent both to the body and the lens.
