Damaged While Shipping

Product came damaged and I am still trying to work out a partial refund. Adorama said a couple of days but it's been over two weeks now for an update on the partial refund that I requested.

Amazing (when it works)

When it works, it's phenomenal. However it is only working about 50% of the time. Sometimes I have to adjust the gain knob and sometimes I have to adjust the frequency knob....and other times it just doesn't work no matter what I try. I'm very frustrated with its lack of reliability... But when it works it is a wonderful addition to my living room.

Shake the house!

I have been happy with it so far definitely a deeper house shaking bass than the SPL-120.

Klipsch nice sun sound

I already have 3 of these in my home theater room so this is the 4th. 6 subs total. It sounds great. The box was a bit terrible with holes and tears, so I was surprised the speaker wasn't damaged. They need to have them labeled fragile and handle with care. Even the foam inside was broken.

Good with a few caveats

For the price and performance of this subwoofer, its pretty much the best you can get when its on sale. Time will only tell if my amp goes out but honestly that isn't as big a deal, for me at least. Easy enough fix with my skills or just use a sub amp and just use the existing amp plate input with another amp. Overall dollars per value, I would recommend it, rattle my home.

SPL 150 is the way to go

I have always owned Klipsch subs. Still own 2 12 Synergy series subs. But like everything I like to go big , so I purchased the SPL 15 . I'm driving it with a Yamaha receiver and does this sub really make the entire house rattle . I have the gain at 80 percent along with the setting at 75 HZ. It's sitting pretty between my 2 sofas . This sub really moves air. Love the feeling of bass through the sofas . Happy customer.

Best deals you'll find for NIB items.

Item received almost impossibly quick. 2 days, maybe. It could have been 1 and a handful of hours. I ordered an AVR the same day from a different vendor and it showed up almost 2 weeks later. 4 or so years ago I purchased the Jamo surround set with the 3 woofer towers, bookshelf, and center speaker/s. It also came with the thin 10" sub that performs way above its class imo. Adorama is one of those companies that really shines and comes through in a big way if you're patient and shop cautiously. Catching the extreme sales is what makes Adorama the place to buy from if you can stay vigilant. Adorama has saved me thousands of dollars off retail. THOUSANDS! Highly recommended.

I'm Blown Away!

I heard about Klipsch years ago and bought a used 15"sub a pair of R-28 the R-15 m's and thr R-25C. There are very few words to say besides WOW! The difference is night and day. Thing is my old gear wasn't from a thrift store, but I won't throw shade on what brand I had. I highly recommend Klipsch. The speakers just bring movies and music to life so much more than anything I've heard yet.

Klipsch?. EASILY ONE OF THE BEST!!!!

Mike from Sound Accoustic Design made me an AWESOME deal. My package came with the following: Klipsch Ebony RF-7III (x2). Klipsch RC-64III Center Speaker Klipsch RP-250S Surround (x4) Klipsch SPL-150 Subwoofer Denon AVR-X8500H Receiver (One BADASS Receiver) I would later complete my theatre room by purchasing: Klipsch RP-250S Surround (x4) Klipsch CDT-5800-C II ceiling speakers (x4) My subwoofer amp wasn't working. Nick from Klipsch was great in resolving this issue. We are still in the process of fixing this but I feel confident this will be done . Excellent support and customer service. People- this is some of the best sound equipment I have ever owned. I am a veteran of the military and have been around the world and have heard a lore of great systems. Klipsch & Denon easily Some Of the best sounding and affordable sound equipment!!!! Thank you Mike and Nick!!!

The amp will fail

Got exactly 10 months out of it. Shortly after I purchased it, it for discontinued. 10 months into it the amp died. I was told the amp will eventually fail when I purchased it, but I didn't want to believe it. It worked well prior to dying.

One powerful sub

One powerful subwoofer. This subwoofer really shines when it comes to playing games ans watching movies. Dont get me wrong its also great for movies but its role is for that low frequency response which it is an absolute beast at. The rattle your space will experience will still sound amazing because it is absolutely destinguishable from the bass the sub is pumping out. Takes a little while to break in but once it does its even more amazing.

Great bass, punchy and crystal clear.

I purchased this subwoofer about two years ago to replace a 12? from Polk Audio. This makes my home theater system a mixture of Polk Audio flagship speakers and Klipsch. I actually love them both, but am now at a crossroads due my desire to update my system from a 7.2 to a 9.2 system by adding front height presence speakers and replacing my Dolby Atmos speakers (also from Klipsch) to ceiling mounted speakers. Of all my Polk Audio speakers, the subwoofer was it?s weakest link. But this Klipsch 15? speaker has certainly resolved that issue and created all new ones. One, I?m having to put my niknaks back into their places after listening to anything with serious bass in it, as the entire house (along with my neighbors?) shake with the deep lows. And when it comes to those really deep lows, this subwoofer most definitely delivers. I can?t imagine having two of them. I?m already turning the level down on this one as it is. It literally has shown me all the areas within my home where connections could have been tighter, as I can rumble the entire house with this one subwoofer. I?m as pleased today with the sound from this speaker as I was when I first bought it. Incidentally, I shopped numerous different brands of subs before I went with the Klipsch. But the Klipsch simply had the best specifications, especially when it comes to that really LOW frequency response, which is lower than that of which the human ears can even hear.

5 Stars but I wouldn't buy

Let me first explain, I have 2 of these. These paired with a Marantz offer 400 watts of power. And though these are underpowered, they still provide the lows appropriate for most movies. Honestly, you will need to do the crawl method as you will have dead zones especially in a bigger room. But once you have this sub dialed in, one would be satisfied especially with 2. That being said, I would not buy these right now. 10/14/2022 this subwoofer's retail is 1399. I'm sorry this is double the price of summer 2020 and fall 2019 which were priced at 700 dollars, which should be the price of this subwoofer. These do sound excellent for the price I bought them, but virtually 1400 is too much, at 400 watts at 15inches. Maybe if this was an 18inch then yes maybe. But, the performance isn't 1400. I would go for a SVS 12 inch. You will get more punch and more power for the same price. Don't get me wrong, I love this subwoofer. But the up mark on the retail is crazy.

Do Not Buy

I have owned the Reference II and the new SPL 15 inch subwoofers (2) They are junk due to very poor design and/or inferior parts in the amplifiers. I have yet to have one last longer than two years.

Peels the paint off the walls!!!

An absolutely amazing sub woofer. I purchased "renewed" from Amazon. Had an issue with the plate amp, which Klipsch made right. Excellent product, excellent customer service. Couldn't ask for more. The plate amp was easy to replace after Klipsch sent a new one. The difference in movies and music with this thing is unreal!

This thing is HUGE and it hits deep ;-p

I bought this as part of a set with the RP6080FA II. This sub gives very nice low tones without being over powering. I know where all the loose fixtures in my house are now too. anything that can rattle this sub will rattle it. It can power through. But the ultimate test to put a sub or sound system through is a high quality copy of DJ Magic Mike's "How Low Can You Go". That will let you know if you have a good sub. This song will test the limits of your sub and mids. I have blown out a few cheap speakers back in the day with this song LOL. (Marantz SR6014 Receiver)

Probably not worth the money

Nice but not sure it was worth the price. Coming from the R10SW sub, it has deeper bass but the R10SW sounded great and I'm not sure the SPL-150 is worth the high price tag. Also, I have to turn the gain up much higher on the SPL-150 then I ever had to on the R10 to get any bass out of it. On the R10 I barely had to turn the gain to 25% but on the 15 I have it around 50-75% all the time.

Prepare to shake the floors of your entire neighborhood. With a 15" Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofer, the Klipsch SPL-150 is the biggest and baddest of the SPL Series.

Bad Ass Bass
Large and in charge, the SPL-150 fills even the largest spaces with explosive, deep bass. We've been pissing off your neighbors since 1946 - why stop now

King of The Hill
SPL-150 is 15" of epic power.

Double Your Pleasure
Don't waste your money on one giant sub that won't give you the deep bass experience you need. Two SPL-150s increase your output capability by close to 6 dB, evening out the coverage to make sure everyone feels those good vibrations.

High Efficiency Class D Amplifier
The built-in, high efficiency amplifier features an analog preamp design, which maintains the original signal path for cleaner, true-to-source reproduction. The Class D output stage ensures maximum efficiency for maximum output, detail, and low frequency power.

Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofers
Cerametallic woofers are exceptionally light and extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion for higher, cleaner output using less amplifier power.

Woofer Anatomy
Klipsch Cerametallic cones are matted to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for exceptional conductivity.

Reference Premiere woofers are housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket that's secured to a large magnet motor for exceptional efficiency and low distortion, and matched to our horn-loaded tweeters for optimal acoustic execution.

Exclusive Port Technology
Klipsch SPL subwoofers leverage proprietary internal-flare geometry that minimizes port noise for clean undistorted low frequencies. The front-firing design allows for placement flexibility to reduce unwanted resonance from your walls or furniture behind the subwoofer.

Take Control
Low Pass Crossover and Variable Phase control allows you to tune the subwoofer to your Klipsch speakers and to your room, establishing the ideal level of bass. Line Level / LFE RCA inputs ensure compatibility with home theater receivers.

Both the RCA and wireless inputs can be utilized, giving you the ability to use a single subwoofer with multiple system in the same room. For example, you can use the wireless input for your home theater set up and the RCA input for your 2-channel system, without needing to switch inputs when changing between systems.

Ultra-Durable Design
Klispsch SPL subwoofers feature a scratch resistant ebony finish that looks like real wood and covers the entire cabinet. Shock-absorbing rubber feet, steel grille posts and a woven cloth grille give the SPL subwoofers a premium look and feel.
