Features more than make up for the extra price

Yes, the surcharge over the non-pro model is significant, but worth it -- just getting a measure of the wattage draw and estimated remaining lifespan itself is a huge. When I'm not doing videography I use this as a backup power source for safety equipment; the detailed status feedback is a huge advantage. And if you're comparing it to other vendors' V-Mount batteries, then you've got all the other benefits -- the 12v output (perfect for powering a video assist), the 8v output (perfect for most dummy batteries), the ability to charge from, or charge other devices via, USB-C; this is a game changer, and I'll almost certainly buy more next time I'm in the market.
