I just recently bought the Gary Fong Lightspere with the added gray and gold dome. I do most of my shooting outdoors so looking for something to help diffuse harsh light when doing outdoor portraits. Although nice for indoor bounce shooting, this product doesn't work well for outdoor shooting. Shadows still too harsh even with the white dome attached.

One handed camera operation instead of holding a beauty dish in hand and camera in the other. Completely eliminates shadows and provides very even light indoors and out. Actually had to set flash on a lower power setting.

I shot a banquet event with the Lightsphere and was overall impressed with the results. It fit perfectly on my Canon 580EXII. The only small problem I had with it was getting the Lightdome or Amberdome to fit inside the Lighsphere, but that was nothing major. The Amberdome did a great job of evening out mixed lighting in the banquet hall. I would recommend this product.

I used this product at a wedding shoot all indoors. It rained, so all the pictures had to be indoors. Worked well on the pictures before the wedding, during and after at the reception. The best thing about this product is I did not have to worry about the Lightsphere falling off. I had an older version and it kept falling off as I was trying to do the pictures. Still trying to get used to what way to have my flash so that I can flip it from vertical to horizontal quickly other than that, I would definitely recommend this to all that want a diffuse light from their on camera flash.

At first the size of this intimidated me. Now that I have used it a bit I feel more confident. It gives off a nice soft light to portraits.
