Everything came perfectly new and works great. It has been great to add this flash for certain photo shoots.

The 600EX II-RT works great on its own. However, I have 4. As a wedding photographer, I need my on-camera and remote flashes to reliable function in a different building every weekend. The built-in wireless triggers are unreliable. Depending on the building, the connection between the on-camera flash and the remote flashes will drop every few minutes. The only way to reconnect is turn each remote flash off and on again. This is a completely unacceptable level of reliability for the price and totally unworkable in a professional event setting. I'll be selling mine.

Ordering my speedlight flash was made very simple. The process was straight forward and user friendly. My Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT works beautifully! It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. This is one of the best in the market. I am extremely happy that I decided not to be cheap with my flash.

It works really well in low light - specifically in clubs or dark locations. It?s been one of my most consistent flashes. Tried to godox round flash before this one and it did not light the same.

What can I say... it's a Canon Flash and they're great products. It's weather sealed and sturdy. I do wish they had the Lithium power packs like the Godox/Flashpoint flashes do though.

After years and years of procrastination, I finally decided to purchase a Speedlite. I've always been a "use the light that you are given" photographer, which obviously makes certain shoots a chore (other than the occasional use of lightsticks, ring lights, etc...) I knew that there was a world of photography that I had yet to experience, simply because I was too stubborn to purchase a decent flash. Seeing as I have the camera (R5) and lens, I figured that it was finally time to bite the proverbial bullet. And now I'm kicking myself that I haven't done so sooner. I'm clearly a "beginner" when it comes to using flash photography, but the Speedlite makes learning easy and fun. As I have very little experience with any form of camera mounted flash, it's hard to compare it to others on the market. With that said, I am far from disappointed with the results! As far as I can tell, everything about the flash is rather intuitive, and the recycle time is plenty for my photography. The "auto" mode is pretty amazing, and seems to be able to pick out just the right amount of light for proper exposure every... single... time.... I hesitated between going all out and purchasing the "latest and greatest" that Cannon had to offer, but found that paying over $1K for a Speedlite was rather ridiculous (not a paid professional that can justify that cost for such an accessory). It seems like 600EX II-RT will hold the test of time, and I am very excited to be able to embark in this new lesson in photography!

The GREATEST flash I’ve gotten my hands on in a long time. VERY impressed with its ability for long range type shots with an 85mm 1.4 Sigma lens

I love the flash. I’m not fond of the Mag bundle. I have not been able to stretch the rubber mount around my flash and my husband can’t either. It’s a great concept, but you better have very strong ands, a great grip, and the steadiness to prevent the attachment from damaging your flash when it slips off rapidly. I’ll use it on a less expensive, or smaller flash.

Works great! Quick recovery time. It is fairly new and have not put it through all its paces yet. But you can see advances compared to my old 580 EX.

I bought 3 of these Speedlites along with the ST-E3-RT Transmitter. It's a great setup with plenty of power. The menu and display is easy to use with a day or two of using them. I used the radio link in a large room and they worked great. The only issue I found is my home Google WIFI extenders interfere with the signal. The "Link" drops after a few minutes no matter what channel I put the Speedlites on including the Auto setting. I don't think this is really an issue with the Speedlite, but it's something to be aware of if you set up in a place with devices searching for a 2.4ghz band. The Speedlites also have an optical option to fire as a backup.

Integrates well with the camera but is heavier and bigger than the Speedlite 580EXII it is replacing. Features about the same and way more expensive.

Awesome speedlight! This was my first one—I finally got tired of lugging a studio strobe around for outdoor shoots—and I don’t regret going straight for the flagship. High quality speedlight, very powerful and built well.

This has to be one of the best speedlights I’ve ever used. With a GN of 197’, it is in the same power range as my 400 WS monolights that have GNs of 213’. It works well with various softbox sizes and shapes (no problem filling 36” Octabox or 9x 35 strip box), especially with headshots and close range portraits. I use with other 600EX-II-RTs or combined with monolights and Canon transmitter. As a speedlight, it size and weight makes it convenient and useful for location shoots. I’d like to see more LEDs and color guides like the newer speedlights and transmitters have that would make it’s use more intuitive, but one does get used to it after a few uses. Originally on the expensive side, the price has been reduced recently (alone or in a bundle) which makes it a better value now. I highly recommend this powerful and versatile speedlight!

Great light, excellent TTL, wonderful flexibility.

I have been using my Speedlite 600EX II-RT for well over 2 years and I love it. At first, I kept it on manual and was delighted with the flexibility of the swivel head and the adjustable output. These days I use more TTL and the results are pristine. I use it in studio and out, paired with two monolights vis-a-vis strobie transmitters and receivers and on the road with a Rogue Flashbender or a Lastolite portable softbox.
I need 2 more of these Great Speedlites!

This a great feature filled Flash. Leave it in ETTL and it is precise. Manual mode gives you full control. Just a great flash. Need to add 2 more.
The Speedlite 600EX II-RT delivers impressive power, responsive performance and advanced, wireless communication for those who demand the very best in flash photography. Featuring improved continuous performance up to 2.0x* faster than its predecessor, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT performs at a phenomenal speed, and reliably at that - new Quick Flash settings and a flash-readiness indicator help ensure priority shutter operation, even when the flash isn't fully recharged. It's also built for fast, convenient use virtually anywhere for any situation, with improved combination button and dial controls, a refined dust- and water-resistant body and new accessories tailor-made for enhanced lighting effects. For speedy and comprehensive flash photography on the go, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT delivers portable, professional performance with ease.
Equipped for flash photography in a wide variety of situations, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT has a guide number of 197 ft. (60m) at ISO 100 to help achieve the lighting you desire. It offers 20mm to 200mm coverage, and when the extendable wide panel is pulled out, flash coverage moves as wide as 14mm. Plus, to maximize power and minimize energy consumption, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT can be directed to zoom in accordance with the camera's image sensor size (full-frame and APS-C).
The Speedlite 600EX II-RT offers significant improvements in continuous flash performance. Engineered with a combination of highly heat-resistant material, a revised optical design for suppressing gain in the panel's temperature, plus a redesigned interior structure, theSpeedlite 600EX II-RT sees speed gains of 1.1 to 1.5x* self-powered, and 1.5 to 2.0x* when used with the optional Compact Battery Pack CP-E4N. An improved flash control algorithm and a redesigned Quick Flash function help to minimize unfired flashes for more reliable, continuous operation.
Offers a number of options for both wireless flash and multi-camera operation. When used with a compatible flash, or flash driver mounted on camera, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT can serve as a slave unit in an optical setup, at distances of up to 49.2 ft./15m when indoors and 32.8 ft./10m when outdoors. In addition to optical wireless flash, theSpeedlite 600EX II-RT is capable of radio transmitted wireless flash where the flash units need not be in visual proximity to one another and transmission distance is extended up to 98.4 ft./30m. Setups of up to 16 flash and camera units can be synchronized to take photographs simultaneously, making multi-angle and multi-directional photography setups simple. Additionally, remote shutter release can be achieved when the Speedlite 600EX II-RT is used as a slave unit with a compatible EOS digital SLR camera.
In addition to traditional optical wireless transmission, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT facilitates radio-controlled, two-way wireless transmission between up to 5 groups. Communicating on 2.4 GHz frequencies, the Speedlite 600EX II-RT does not have the same directional limitations of traditional wireless optical transmitters. Where other wireless signals can be interrupted by physical obstacles, radio controlled systems excel. Fifteen transmission channels are available, selectable manually or automatically, and radio transmission IDs can be set to prevent misfiring in the event of signal interference on the same channel.
Designed to maintain the high standard of dust- and water-resistant performance of Canon's EOS-1D cameras. Its exterior seams are sealed while a dust- and water-resistant adapter mounted to the bottom of the flash surrounds and locks around the camera's hot shoe for a nearly impenetrable seal.
Highly legible GUI for steady & efficient multi-flash control. New flash-readiness indicator, new combination button and dial operations that speed up setting changes and manual flash control. They also help avoid unintended changes through inadvertent button presses.
The Speedlite 600EX II-RT comes with a number of key accessories designed to help position, diffuse and tone its output for optimal results. The Bounce Adapter SBA-E3 widens and diffuses bounce lighting, achieving a soft effect especially in shadow areas. The SCF-E3 color hard-type filter sets include the Color Filter SCF-E3OR1, which is effective in merging ambient incandescent light with the flash’s bluish output for warm, atmospheric results. These accessories also include the Color Filter SCF-E3OR2, which is useful for balancing out the red fogging typical of interior lighting, for more natural, realistic light. Both filters attach and detach with ease for quick and smooth set-up. Also bundled is a soft case that holds all its flash accessories and can store the flash unit with the filter attached.
Dot matrix LCD panel graphically displays detailed flash modes, Custom and Personal Function settings and status indicators for both master and slave units, enabling wireless configurations with more detailed information than previous flashes.
Designed for easy bounce flash, in any direction. The head can be angled 90° up, 7° down and can rotate 180° left and right. It includes a bounce lock with release button & a catchlight panel to create catch light in the eyes of the subject.
