great little scope with backpack

Very nice spotting scope for the money

I can't imagine a better scope for the price. Perfect for casual astronomy. One complaint is with the 45 degree diagonal, which could have had a tighter fit into the scope's back (I've subbed a 90 degree diagonal anyway - with a nice snug fit- so it doesn't matter).Also, the backpack/case could have had a foam lining, but, again, it's a scope! I'm very pleased with the optical performance.

Great addition to a growing scope collection.

I think for the price and size, this is a great little scope to have around. I have done a little astrophotography through it and was surprised how well the images of jupiter and saturn came out.

Orion Adapter

Orion sells an adapter for its Maksutov scopes that will fit this Celestron. With the adapter ( about $20) all SCT accessories will work on this Celestron.

May be more than I needed

Bought for a spotting scope for shooting. 8x21 Erect Image Finderscope was useless in locating target. Had to move scope around alot to find. You definitely need a heavy duty tripod with a solid base to use this. It shakes ALOT on a std camera tripod. I also tried to use it to look at stars, but did not have the proper filters to do so. This scope may be more than I need for spotting targets. Eye piece would be better if it had a rubber cup. Was difficult to look thru.
