I bought this to use with a A5100 with a cam link 4k and a 25mm manual focus lens for video calls. Works great, and I just leave the camera on 24/7 no issues!

The charger does what it does but I bought it because I thought it would overcome my Sony a6100 time limit per recording clip of 10 minutes. It doesn't. Nothing can, actually. But I found you can stitch them seamlessly in Adobe Premiere so it doesn't matter. I can always charge the battery the battery I have on the fly with my micro USB cord. I don't know when we need a charger when we can do that. Also, it took a lot of cramming to get the charger door to shut. It was expensive so I returned it. Adorama made the return easy. I have been fine without the charger.

It’s exactly what I needed! Nice to know now I don’t have to keep recharging my Sony a6400. I’d recommend it for someone who needs longer battery life than the average camera battery provides or streams on a daily!

It works as described. The only reason I docked a star is because the dummy battery fell off once even though I securely put it in the battery compartment. I have to watch out for this in the future. Otherwise, it doesn’t heat the battery too much and works much better than using batteries and dealing with reinstalling them.

The product is overestimated. We're talking about a power supply. With these prices you do not raise the level of your products but just drive your customers to aftermarket products.

What more can I say. It works as it is supposed to. Simple and direct. The connection (battery like connection) is better and more solid that the usual type of power connections. Would like a similar connector for a portable (larger) battery.

While the adapter works, there are two problems with it: it costs too much, and emits a loud (at least in studio environment) buzzing electronic noise. For a dumb adapter costing this much, you would think they put together something without such a basic fault.

you need something called a DC coupler which is a "false battery" (it makes your camera think its' a batter whereas it just gets powersupply from external source). The one in the image is a Sony branded one...but it can be had much cheaper online (off brand). The sony branded one is good though.
