Oh well it was not available when I bought my 24-70. Almost the same size with better rain protection. Figured the 24-200 is too big for my all around on the camera lens even though at 24-120 they are close in Quality. Its a S.

Love this lens. Is a versatile lens that can be used for any occasion, function, vacation and everyday use. Sharp and detailed, and gives you the quality you're looking for. The only negative for me is that it's an f/4, but if you're looking for a excellent quality lens for a wife range of photography, I highly recommend this lens.

This lens and all the Nikon "S" lens are capable of producing unexplainably sharp images. This lens is well constructed and feels like a professional lens, as it should. My only complaint is the f4 maximum aperture size. Would have been much better with just a slightly faster f-stop, even if only one or one and a half stops more.

I had been hoping that Nikon would issue a 24-105 f/4 like Canon had for their RF system. Then, Nikon comes out with this! Love this lens for all around travel photography. On my old Z6 (original), it is very sharp, even at f/4. And that extra reach to 120 mm is most welcome. Love this lens!

Outstanding quality. Focus is tack sharp on photos as well as video. Adjusts focus very fast and accuratey for video. I have the 24-70mm F mount with F to Z adapter. It's now my That lens is my web cam lens or a spare if I need it.

Absolutely excellent lens for all types of photography. Its range covers most of event session without the need for lens changing. Very fast focusing and sharp at all focal length and aperture. It replaces my Z 24-70 mm/f2.8 and Z24-200 mm lenses which I've used for over a year. Altogether, I've had Z14-30, Z24-120, and Z70-180 lenses for every thing I needed.

This is another example of a superior lens at a bargain price. It performs well over its entire range closely matching the image quality of prime lenses and, yet, way more versatile. The best travel lens for the discerning photographer that wants images beyond what a cell phone provides. Also good for macro type shots as it focuses really close.

I debated for a while between this lens and the Nikkor Z 28 - 75 F 2.8 zoom since I've relied on 'fast' lenses with my Nikon SLRs for decades. My decision to purchase this lens was strongly influenced by reviews from other photographers, coupled with the higher ISO ranges that modern Nikon cameras offer. This broad range renders the one-stop advantage offered by the 2.8 aperture as less of an incentive. I'm enjoying the lens, and look forward to taking advantage of the broad zoom range and constant aperture! I like the compact design and solid build quality of the lens The overall feel of the lens is great, and I'm particularly pleased with the customizable control ring, which I'll likely leave assigned for aperture control.!

Wonderful lens! It lives on my Z7ii. Great detail and sharpness throughout the entire frame, but I do not have the Z 24-70/2.8 to compare it to. Many online reviewers have reported great things about it, and my experience with this lens has reflected that.

This lens fills a big hole in Nikon's S-mount lineup. The 24-70mm S lens is a fine lens, but the 24-120 S lens is so much more useful with the extra 50mm of reach. Autofocus is fast, quiet, and accurate, and colors look great (all of which is basically true of all S-mount lenses). And sharpness is very good for a lens like this. This lens is much better than the F-mount 24-120mm, which I have and still use on a DSLR body. The S-mount doesn't have vibration reduction like the F-mount lens, but the in-body stabilization in the Z 6 and above bodies compensates very well. This may very well become my most-used lens.

The NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S is a FANTASTIC general purpose lens for a Nikon Z System camera! It is weather-sealed, robust, smooth to zoom, no lens creep when the camera is held vertically, and most important to me, extremely sharp at most apertures! I highly recommend this lens for any FF Nikon Z shooter who desires very high quality images in the 24-120 focal length range!

Super all purpose lens. The images are sharp and well rendered. The range of focal length is more useful than the 24-70 f4 I got a while back with my z6ii and the images are at least as good. You won't be disappointed with this lens.

I love the 24-120 range but the image quality is the real reason for this lens. The first time I used it I was totally impressed by the tonal latitude and rich colors. The photos looked as if I used strobe to softly light the subjects but it was all natural light. It would be nice if it could keep that same size and weight and be 2.8 but I may be asking for too much - not to mention the price!

I love this lens. Tack sharp and fast. I even got some nice portraits of my dogs in the house with the blinds closed. Love the wide angle and the extra reach. This will be perfect for Yellowstone when larger animals are close to road early in the morning and for landscapes. It has a solid build and could handhold all day long.
