I'm an amateur and use my off camera flashes to shoot roller derby around Northern California and at a local skatepark. The 1 battery I have for my Flashpoint Xplor 600 Pro will get me through an evening at the skatepark or 2 derby bouts with no trouble, but some East Bay leagues were putting on an all day roller derby tournament and my single battery would not be enough. I read a lot of reviews about the $180 WB-26 battery and could not bring myself to spend so much on a battery that would only fit that 1 model of flash and had so many negative reviews. I really wanted to be able to use my "big gun" at the tournament so I confirmed there would be power and bought the AC adapter. I shot the first 2 bouts with my battery and then hooked up the adapter. I used it on 2 different tracks (1 where I had to use an extension cord) and it performed flawlessly. Cheaper than the battery and easy to use with no worries or need to scale back output to prolong its use.

This product is a lifesaver! The light originally came with a spare battery. It had to be charged almost every session. The battery life isn?t that long. I mostly use this light in my studio for sessions that are 2-3 hours. I?d be so scared that it would die by the end of the shoot. With this adapter, I don?t have to worry about having the battery charged. I can shoot all day. Which is the #1 reason that I bought it. I had an 8 hour day of headshots scheduled. The choice was to buy a spare battery, or buy this and plug it in. It?s nice for things to be cordless, but this cord adapter makes your light reliable when you need it the most. Docked a star because the package came poorly packaged, and possibly used? I?ll have to write Adorama for that.

It’s great. Seems to have the same robust build as the rest of the Flashpoint/Godox gear. It has a fan in it that is pretty quiet, it could possibly present an issue if using the modeling lamps as a light source for recording video. Although there does not seem to be any options for this a/c adapter on the market, it is well made and I recommend it.

Excellent alternative when batteries are no essential. If your working on studio or on location and you have access to AC power is a no brainer. Power cord is very long. And the adapter and cable can be stored in the light case.

I ultimately decided to purchase the AC adaptor so that I wouldn't have to worry about draining my battery pack while on a shoot. This way, for my studio shoots, I can plug-in, and then right afterward head outdoors if need be, instead of waiting 2 hours to charge the battery. The adaptor, so far, works very well. It's also nice that a 15 foot cord comes with it as well!

It works as described. Pros: Great for studio or indoor use when an A/C is a more reliable power source during long shoots. I do not have to worry about battery levels. Cons. The only con that is that it is longer than the battery, so it takes more space. It will still fit in the case, though an extremely tight fit.

I'd definitely recommend getting this as a back-up. The rechargeable battery and has worked perfectly but I'm glad I have the adapter just in case.

I acquired these for my XPLOR 600 Pro and 400 Pro series units. Where ever I have access to AC power I use them. Don’t have to worry about drained batteries. Reduced recycle time and very consistent output. A great product. Highly recommend it

I had one of my studio strobes blow on me and found myself in need of a spare until the blown pack comes back from repair. I had, in my closet, a XPLOR 600 which I had only used once for a specific job and never revisited. I picked up the AC adapter for it as low cost solution. I tried it out on a simple headshot assignment and was pleased with the results. Yesterday I ran it as my main key light in a 6x light fashion setup and pushed it hard and fast for more than 10 straigh hours. ZERO ISSUES! Fantastic affordable solution for studio shooting.
