Solid and therefore heavy. But that is what you need and want, there is not any wiggle or vibration when this has the 11" CPC mounted. Very satisfied with it so far. It's been raining since I got the new scope and tripod set, so I have only used it twice, but it exceeds expectations.

Very solid and capable. Easy to center the ball, quite pleased wits ability to support 11 inch cassegrain scope. The finish can be scraped during mating with the telescope though.

We were actually looking at different stands before getting this, some people suggesting getting a heavier and sturdier tripod. We decided to see what this was like, It is incredibly sturdy and heavy. Absolutely love everything about this telescope, tripod and mounting.

Seriously solid tripod that comes with the NexStar Evolution 9.25. I was a bit worried about some of the shaking / stability issues I read in other reviews so I was happy to see that this one automatically shipped with the 9.25. It was a bit heavy and daunting at first but I bought the tripod bag and it makes life easier for us smaller folks! There is a little level directly on the tripod that you will want to use to set up prior to putting the mount on. The legs very easily retract for leveling so setup is a breeze once you get the hang of it. The accessory tray is easy to put on and also massively solid. This is just a solid setup that eliminates the shake and vibration. You don't worry about bumps and accidental tipping quite as much as you'd expect. I mean, if you're going to go bit with the 9.25 or the 11... You don't want to mess around with anything less than a tripod that lets you take full advantage of it.

The tripod arrived on time. It's very stable and well suited for the CPC 925 SCT Scope. I have it securely mounted on a moveable platform and together can easily move tripod, scope and platform to any location around my home. Although the scope is heavy, it easily marries to the tripod. So far, I am very happy with both the tripod and scope. Highly recommended.

The tripod is very sturdy and solid. But we have one major drawback that I’m currently trying to deal with customer service with and will update if/once it’s resolved. The problem is in the mounting screws to Attach a telescope base. Out of the three screws one will never lineup. Tried all three position configurations and the same screw seems to be off just enough so the threads cannot engage. This might be the base is off or the tripod through screws are off. But either way a tripod that I am unable to mount anything to is a useless tripod.

Solid tripod - one of the main reasons I upgraded to the 9.25" SCT! Wish it had more holders for 2" EPs.

This CPC 1100 Tripod is very sturdy and quite able to handle the weight of the CPC 1100 Telescope and fork mount. It provides a very stable platform for both visual and astrophotography. Highly recommended.

Not much to say here other than it's a solid tripod and a good match for NexStar Evo mount system.

I selected this tripod to replace the 21 years old Wedgepod that accompanied my Celestar 8 at purchase. The CPC 1100 tripod is an excellent match for the Celestar, and it presents a stable platform for astrophotography. Also, the tripod legs are extendable allowing me to raise the telescope substantially higher in order to view/photograph celestial objects at zenith. I am very pleased with the purchase of this piece of equipment. It has truly enhanced my ability to use my Celestar 8. A photo of the system is attached along with a photo of Saturm.

Very solid and capable. Easy to center the ball, quite pleased wits ability to support 11 inch cassegrain scope. The finish can be scraped during mating with the telescope though.
What sets the Celestron Heavy Duty Tripod apart is its unparalleled support and stability for the CPC 1100 Telescope. This robust tripod is an essential accessory for both amateur and professional astronomers who demand the utmost precision in their celestial observations. Crafted with durability in mind, the tripod features fully adjustable legs with sturdy metal clamps, allowing for precise height customization to suit any terrain or observation position.
The tripod's heavy-duty construction is complemented by a solid metal accessory tray, which not only provides a convenient storage solution for your observing essentials but also enhances the overall stability of the setup. This ensures that your CPC 1100 Telescope remains steady, delivering clear and sharp images of the night sky.
Designed for versatility, the tripod head is equipped with mounting holes compatible with both alt-azimuth mounting ideal for the CPC and NexStar GPS series and for use with a wedge, offering flexibility for various observational styles and preferences.
For videographers, the tripod's head features the advanced technology of Sachtler's fluid heads, with payload capacities ranging from 0 to 2 kg / 0 to 4.4 lb (FSB 2) and 1 to 6 kg / 2.2 to 13.2 lb (FSB 6). The FSB 6 stands out with its unique Snap & Go sideload mechanism, providing an extensive sliding range of 120 mm / 4.7" and a 10-step counterbalance for exceptionally fine and rapid balancing. The option of a classic Touch & Go camera plate adds to the head's versatility.
The smaller FSB 2 head offers counterbalance settings of 1 and 0, while both models boast three horizontal and three vertical grades of drag, plus a zero setting, ensuring smooth and controlled movements. The damping system is based on the same high-quality construction principles as Sachtler's larger heads, guaranteeing professional-grade performance.
Whether you're gazing at the stars or capturing cinematic footage, the Celestron Heavy Duty Tripod for the CPC 1100 Telescope is the reliable choice for those who require a durable, sturdy, and heavy-duty support system.
