An excellent normal lens for the Rebel T8i. Light and fast. Perfect, like a 45mm in full frame. Best normal focal length for Canon APS-C cameras.

This is a sharp lens. Having owned several l lenses which are superb I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality. I also like the fact it is easy on the shoulders.Don’t buy the pro optic hood .You won’t be able to put on the original lens cap. I had to pay extra to buy the hood.

I've been using this lens for several years now on various full frame cameras. It's a pleasure to use. It's very light, very sharp AND the IS really works. Great color and contrast, too.

Excellent for photography. Love it. Beautiful lens with a wide aperture, and the focal length is unique. I haven’t used a 35mm lens before but will certainly be doing so more going forward. What this lens isn’t great for is video, at least if you want noiseless autofocus. The lens makes a lot of (undesired sound if you are using Canon’s dual pixel video autofocus. Still, glad I got the lens. Portable and lightweight. Very nice that it has image stabilization.

Classic lens for portraits and landscape, really anything! So many options for the f-stop, nice big apertures too! Makes the focusing difficult though if you are not experienced, but therefore makes it a great lens for beginners learning the basics and the techniques of still life and portrait photography!

This is a great lens! I take it and my 24-105 and my FF camera as my travel kit. I usually use the 24-105 during the day and use this lens at night. It really is an impressive lens...and if your subject is not moving, with its 4 stops of IS, you can get clear shots at lower ISO than with the 35 f/1.4---which is a very heavy lens that I would not want to travel with. It really is a great lens...for me. At its current price point I think it is a steal.

After watching several reviews online I bought this lens for my 6d mark ii and ronin s to make videos with. I am so glad i do. I love everything about it so far, colors, focus speed, noise, everything.....

It arrived as if it was a new lens. Glass was clean. It is nice at F/2, but gets nice and really sharp stopped down to around F/2.5~2.8. It is light weight, and the IS works well, but with does make a modest amount of sound with IS on. Great on my APS-C 80D.

I have a 24 mm EF-S and a nifty fifty and this lens blows them both away. It’s very sharp and the colors are great.

I was very surprised at how sharp this lens is. It’s definitely something I’m glad to add to my camera bag. It creates beautiful bokeh & i noticed that even when I push the ISO a bit more, the grain is minimal which is not the case with any of my other lenses (70-200mm f2.8 & 50mm f1.8

I picked up this lens about 2 weeks ago to use on my 6D. Sharp as can be, excellent color rendition. One note using it wide open at f2.0 the lens produces a lot of vignetting on the corners, it completely goes away at f4.0. Using it wide open is not an issue because it can be easily removed in post production.

I love the focal length of this lens on my Canon 6D. Much more than my 50mm 1.4, however this lens is much softer around the edges, I'm not a pro but Ive used my camera for over a decade and from the lenses I've shot with this is the most soft and adds bokeh when you don't necessarilly want it. Overall for the price its a great lens and the IS is awesome and much quieter than my 100mm macro and 24-105 Mark I lens. Ill continue to shoot with the lens to learn its quirks but overall I just wish it was a little bit sharper through its range.
