I LOVE this lens adapter as it allows me to use me Zeiss EF-mount lenses on my Canon R5. This works very well for non-Canon lenses.

Having the control ring adds an additional amount of control. Being really "old school" from the days when the aperture was controlled by a similar ring on a lens, brings back a bit of nostalgia along with an additional way to control the camera.

This ring becomes an extension of the R camera body and provides full functionality for EF Canon and third party lenses, my old Tamron zoom behaves and focuses perfectly now, which it never did on the 80D!

As a Canon film SLR user from 1968 to 2003 and then a Canon DSLR user until August 2022. when I got my R7, I really appreciate that the Control Ring on RF lenses lets me set the f/stop on the lens like with my film SLR - amd this adapter lets me do that with my EF lenses as well. I set shutter speed with the main dial on the top deck and run in Manual exposure with the histogram in the viewfinder, and I'm home.

I considered both the Control Ring Mount Adapter, and the regular adapter, and was very happy I decided to go with the control ring version. With my R7, having that extra control dial makes a huge difference, and for mine I've set it up with exposure compensation. It worked seamlessly with my Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6/3 Contemporary lens, which was the old EF mount for Canon, to the RF mounts. While initially hesitant at the price, now having used the adapter for a few weeks, the extra $50-100 (depending on sales) is completely worth it, I highly, highly recommend!

I just switched to a Canon R6 mark II and purchased this adapter to use with my old lenses. It has worked perfectly so far. It is easy to use and still very streamlined. It is a huge benefit to have access to all my current lenses. Thank you.

I got this at the same time I went from the Rebel t7 to the EOS R8. I love that I did not have to go and get an entire new collection of lenses for my new camera. my only critique is that it makes the manual focus on my EF 50mm lens a bit buggy. Otherwise it works great and has been worth every penny.

If you're shooting EF glass on R bodies then this adapter is an absolute necessity. I've found that version with the programmable ring is extremely useful because you can program the ring to any function on the camera. Typically I use it for quickly changing the focusing area on the R3 body. I converted to RF lenses but held onto my fast 24, 35, and 300 EF primes and this adapter works perfectly. I bought two of them!

It works great with all my EF lenses that I have tried with it, including my non-Canon (a Sigma 150-600). I highly recommend this more expensive version with the optional new ring added to the RF lenses that can be programmed to specific camera functions. I use it for the exposure (the EV+/-) adjustment and I love being able to see the effect instantly while looking through the viewfinder. This is especially helpful with the mirrorless cameras because you can see the effect in the viewfinder LCD.

Works perfectly with my Canon 70-200 2.8L, EF-S 18-55 and Tokina 16-28 2.8 on my Canon R10. I set the control ring for aperture with shutter on the camera's front dial and ISO on the thumb dial. Intuitive for me. Autofocus is accurate and snappy.
