Great product
I hated tripods because it took forever to set them up. I mostly take annoying family photos in busy places so quick set up and break down are very important. This attachment allows me exactly that. I use consumer DSLRs, 35mm and medium format film cameras with average size lenses. The only down side is the price. If your are a casual user like me you will never have to replace this item.
worth it
My first tripod set up was a [@] special. I thought that cheap and light meant I would take it places. It was so troublesome to set up I rarely used it. Then I bought a set of decent legs and this head and it made all the difference in the world. This thing works great. It is fast and easy to set up. I wish it did not cost so much, but in the end it is worth every penny.
