This laptop is being used by my wife. She does a lot of image manipulation but no videos. She likes that there is backwards compatibility with outlets. She doesn't run games or iTunes, so the SSD HD is enough for her. She wanted this trackpad, too. As it turned out, she was lucky to find this laptop. Apple had dropped them the day before she found the one at Adorama.

This computer is everything and more that a person could want for all kinds of applications. I've enjoyed it immensely, very user friendly, good memory, speed, etc. No problems. Adorama offered a very good price.

2 kinds of problem so far. Re- the laptop itself, it refused to boot within a few days after I received it. Turned out the drive needed to be reformatted and the OS re-installed. Re- the delivery, I received a notice from UPS that it had been delivered and signed for by my ex-husband when it had NOT been delivered or signed for by him (we're on good terms). I notified Adorama of the problem; they initiated an investigation. Two days later, FedEx left it on his doorstep without bothering to ring for his signature. So...that was a little weird. Other than that, I just saw something about how subsequent iterations of this laptop have had keyboard problems; so for that reason as well as the fact that this has more kinds of ports, glad I got this one.

This Mid 2015 Model of the MacBook Pro is truly the pinnacle of the entire MacBook Pro Series. It has great processing speed, reliable keyboard, beautiful graphics, and very good battery life. And you can directly attach your ancillary devices without a gaggle of adapters. It offers a great balance of capabilities while still being quite transportable. And for those for whom it matters, you still have a lighted Apple in the lid, a brand distinction that sadly has disappeared on the current MacBook Pro versions. If you're in the market for a 15" MacBook Pro, I suggest careful consideration of this model before Apple kills it as well.

Great help in ordering and getting best price from Steve, arrived quickly, and works perfectly. I'm very happy with this purchase, since it's a fantastic computer, and by getting this older version, I get the magsafe power cord and don't need a bunch of adapters to use all my existing peripherals with the newer, universal Thunderbolt 3 ports (ie, I still have an HDMI port and regular USB ports...so, just needed the Thunderbolt 2 to ethernet adapter :-) ). I'd highly recommend both this particular laptop and this vendor.

I ordered this MacBook Pro upgrading from a 2010 13" model. I chose this one because the newest models have switched over to USB-C and dongles which I didn't like. I also like the old power cord magnetic breakaway and especially like the 500 GB SSD drive. It is all that I need for photography (has the secure digital slot) and plenty of memory. The battery is better than the old one too. Love it. Also love the bigger retina screen. Ordering thru Adorama was a breeze.

I bought this for our Webmaster who also needs to run virtual machines to test code etc. I also bought the 1TB OWC hard drive upgrade along with this Macbook Pro. The upgrade was easy and increased the hard drive capacity by 4 times and saved a couple hundred dollars over the model with the pre-installed version as well as gained an external USB3 256GB solid state drive. Win-win. Great processor, great memory, great performance.

Loved this MacBook Pro when I bought it in 2016, now it’s 2018 and I still love it. Not only have I been able to update to the new versions of macOS each time they come out, but I can also say that they improved the speed of my laptop and have not noticed any slowdowns like I would on a windows laptop. Not only that, if you need windows you can use the built in app, “bootcamp” to install windows on a separate partition on the drive.(valid windows license required). I love the ecosystem Apple provides its customers. If you own iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, you will not regret getting a Mac. I recommend getting AppleCare with the Mac just in case you need it. It is always good having an extra 3 years of warranty.

When I received the computer I had it up and running in a few hours. I was able to copy all the data from my Apple MAC mini. This computer is fast. I have the Apple Airport Time Capsule and it recognized the MacBook Pro. The Time Capsule did a complete backup of the MacBook Pro's hard drive automatically. I am very happy with this computer.

Adorama is great! Great prices, fast shipping etc, but Apple is really disappointing me. My old 17" MacBook Pro took a crap due to bad solder on the logic board, Therefore I was forced to buy a new one. The newest ones only have Thunderbolt ports, therefore you would need to buy adapters for everything. So I bought last years version (at least it had some USB and HDMI ports on it), but now 90 percent of my old software wont run on the newer OS. I am sending my old 2011 MacBook Pro in to be repaired by a third party as Apple wont touch it. Maybe I have to go back to a @#$@# windows machine.

Love the computer. I know it's not the newest model, but I just love the SD card slot. Especially since I do a lot with photography. The overall experience with Adorama was great. Will buy from them again if needed.

Upgrading from an older model. So far so good, but disappointed that the overall design hasn't budged in so long. I love it but I'm not IN love with it. It's not me, it's you, boring MacBook Pro. Mix it up guys, am I right?? Also pricing on the MBP seems a little over the top. Feeling less like a devotee and more like a guilty addict. So in summary, love the function, bored with the form, hate the price, and it makes me feel dirty. I recommend it.

I have been an Apple user since the early 80s, so I'm not going to try and convince you to buy a Mac over a PC. I'm a Mac user and that is what works best for me. I decided to go with the mid-2015 MacBook Pro over the more recent Late-2016 MacBook Pro (with or without Touch Bar) for a couple of reasons: 1. More connections. I'm okay with making way for the all USB-C future but for now I want to be able to plug my SD card or my USB backup drive into my laptop without having to worry about searching for a dongle. 2. More bang for the buck. I got a 1TB SSD for the same price as the 512GB Late-2016 model. And if you look at the Mac benchmarks online, the mid-2015 model of MacBook Pro still holds the top spot, even with the older processor. So, I got the faster model with more storage and more connections! And man, oh man, the Retina display is nice! I upgraded from a mid-2012 13" MacBook Pro (no Retina back then) to this and the difference is night and day.

Surpised! For a 'Low-end machine' it runs like a dream. fast...very fast...and plays my games like Marvel Lego Super heroes and Batman Arkham Asylum smooth a silk, despite no dedicated video card. For everyday work it is a no brainer.

While the newer MacBook Pros, such as this one, do not have a but in CD reader I thought long an hard before buying this product. I've added an external Apple CD read/ play and all is good. Connectivity to wireless system was fast / easy set up and the transfer of files was completed after taking a trip to the Apple Pro Desk at my local Apple store. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this laptop. I'd definitely recommend this product to any Man buyer.

This is my second MacBook Pro. I deliberately purchased the mid-2015 model, for I wanted it's features (some removed on the latest model). It is a superb computer.

No it doesn't have a touch bar so you can bring your emoji game to the next level, but this does have ports that connect to gear you own now with no adapters and an SD card slot.

Amazing portable editing machine.

If you take a look at last years model it has a 5 start rating and this one is even better. For 2015 Apple has added a newer SSD thats over double the speed of last years (which was already faster than standard). They swapped out the trackpad for a brand new design called force touch that doesn't actually click but simulates a click with magnets. If you didn't know it you wouldn't be able to tell! It fells just like a click but with the benefit of being quieter and more consistent no matter w...

Pro DJ upgrades MAC
By IRA W.
After returning the entry-level version of this MacBook Pro, the price was just too irresistible to switch it out for this particular model. If there were no Adorama,, I'd have the entry-level model instead today. Adorama is amazing!
A spectacular display is just the beginning
A groundbreaking Retina display. A new force-sensing trackpad. All-flash architecture. Powerful dual-core and quad-core Intel processors. Together, these features take the notebook to a new level of performance. And they will do the same for you in everything you create.
Retina display - Multimillion-pixel view.
When you pack so many pixels into a display - over 5 million on the 15-inch model - the results are positively stunning. The pixel density is so high, your eyes can't discern individual pixels. Images take on a new level of realism. A spectacular 2880-by-1800 resolution on the 15-inch MacBook Pro let you see more of your high-resolution images with pixel-for-pixel accuracy. And text is so sharp, you'll feel like you're reading email, web pages, and documents on a printed page.
The Retina display reduces glare while maintaining incredible color and quality. Its high contrast ratio results in blacker blacks and whiter whites. And everything in between is rich and vibrant. IPS technology gives you a wide, 178-degree view of everything on the screen, so you'll see the difference at practically any angle. And you're going to love what you see.
The Force Touch trackpad - Press a little deeper, do a lot more.
With Multi-Touch in OS X, you can use realistic gestures like swiping or pinching to switch between apps, navigate your content, and get the most out of your desktop space.
The new Force Touch trackpad takes all the capabilities of Multi-Touch and adds force sensors that detect subtle differences in the amount of downward pressure you apply. This lets you have a deeper connection to your content, bringing more functionality right to your fingertip. It also introduces haptic feedback to MacBook Pro - allowing you not just to see what's happening on the screen, but to feel it.
Click and continue to press on the trackpad to enable new capabilities, like looking up the definition of a word, previewing a file in the Finder, or creating a new Calendar event when you Force click a date in the text of an email.
Advanced Intel mobile processors - Dual-care. Quad-core. Serious power.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display has the power to do even more amazing things. Fourth-generation quad-core Intel Core i7 processors let you make quick work of even the most complex tasks in professional apps like Final Cut Pro X, thanks to speeds up to 2.8GHz, 6MB of shared L3 cache, and Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.0GHz. And every model comes standard with 16GB of superfast memory. All of which means the 15-inch MacBook Pro is ready to take on whatever you can dream up, wherever your travels take you.
High-performance graphics. - A flawless onscreen performance.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro has a phenomenal display - with the graphics power to match. Its fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processor features Iris Pro Graphics with 128MB of embedded memory, which accelerates demanding graphics tasks by acting as an ultrafast cache. For even more impressive graphics performance, choose the 15-inch model that combines the power of Iris Pro Graphics with the AMD Radeon R9 M370x. Thanks to 2GB of GDDR5 memory, you'll get even better performance when playing high-resolution games, editing video in Final Cut Pro X, or rendering images in pro graphics applications.
Longer-lasting battery - Up to a 10-hour charge.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro lasts up to 9 hours between charges. That's an hour longer than previously. And it delivers 9 hours of iTunes movie playback. That's impressive battery life for any notebook. But for a high-performance notebook with an ultra-high-resolution display, state-of-the-art processors and graphics, and a superslim design, it's absolutely remarkable. The built-in battery gives you up to 1000 full charge and discharge cycles.
Faster flash storage - There's a reason they call it 'flash'
Thanks to the superfast read and write performance of the PCle-based flash storage, you'll notice a difference in whatever you do. Starting up is really fast, apps launch quickly, and navigating the desktop feels fluid and responsive. On the 15-inch model you get up to 2.5x faster flash storage - with up to 2.0 GBps throughput - that works with quad-core processors and high-performance graphics to make quick work of even the most demanding Final Cut Pro X editing tasks. And since this MacBook Pro model comes with lots of flash storage, you can keep all your important files with you. In addition, flash has no moving parts, so it's superdurable and quiet.
Meet the ultimate mobile creative studio with the emphasis on mobile. Equipped with 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology, you're free to unplug and still stay connected - to your network, to your wireless peripherals, and to the world. With AirPlay and Apple TV, you can wirelessly play video, show off photos, and enjoy music from your MacBook Pro, all on your widescreen TV. And when your MacBook Pro connects to an 802.11ac Wi-Fi base station, such as AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule, your wireless performance is up to 3x faster.
Thunderbolt 2 - The world's most advanced I/O
Fast and versatile, Thunderbolt 2 provides up to 20Gb/s of bandwidth to each external device. So you're more than ready for the next generation of high-performance peripherals and displays. You can connect massive amounts of storage and add a PCI expansion chassis. And since each Thunderbolt 2 port allows you to daisy-chain up to six peripherals, you can go all out by plugging in up to 12 external devices via Thunderbolt alone.
You'll get two Thunderbolt 2 ports, two USB 3 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, and a headphone port. So in a matter of minutes you can build an entire professional studio with MacBook Pro as its centerpiece.
Stereo Speakers
You haven't heard it all until you've heard the speakers inside MacBook Pro. For something so thin and light, the sound is huge. And with a wide dynamic range, optimal balance, and a crisp, expressive quality, these speakers might sound too good to be true. That's because Apple labored painstakingly over the design to maximize the quality of every decibel you hear.
Dual Mics
Dual built-in microphones are great for when you want to be heard. If you're making a FaceTime call, for example, the mics reduce background noise from behind the notebook. And when you use Dictation, they create an adaptive audio beam that intelligently adjusts to detect your voice - instead of the noise around you.
FaceTime HD Camera
Make your point with greater clarity. Centered just above the widescreen Retina display on MacBook Pro is an advanced FaceTime HD camera, with an image sensor that produces accurate colors and reduced image noise even in low light. The sophisticated image processor produces sharper images and reduced motion blur. And the face detection feature automatically adjusts exposure and white balance to complement your face and skin tone, so you always look your best - no matter what lighting is behind you.
Backlit keyboard
Thin and light, MacBook Pro is designed to go anywhere - including places with less-than-stellar lighting. A built-in sensor detects changes in ambient light and adjusts the keyboard and display brightness automatically. So you're never left in the dark.
iCloud. - Everything you need. Anywhere you need it.
iCloud stores your content and lets you access your music, photos, calendars, contacts, documents, and more from whatever device you're on. So if you take a picture with your iPhone or make changes to your meeting schedule on your iPad, iCloud makes sure everything appears on your Mac, too. And it works both ways - create a to-do list on your Mac and you can make edits to it on your iPhone.
Powerful apps included - Get right to work. And play.
Out of the box, MacBook Pro is already a document-creating, number-crunching, presentation-sharing, photo-editing, movie-making, and music-producing powerhouse. That's because it includes six powerful productivity and creativity apps: Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Photos, iMovie, and GarageBand. Not to mention all the other incredible apps, including Safari, Mail, and iBooks, which are perfect for the things you want to do and the things you need to do. And, of course, there are thousands more apps to discover at the Mac App Store.
