Invaluable filter. I use this constantly for landscape photography. I would have liked a 3-stop or more version. One improvement would have been if the filter was marked to show level position. I marked mine with a tiny white dot of paint to show the level position.

Graduated Neutral Density

Great product. Very effective in darkening light skies.
For professional photographers and enthusiasts alike, the 77mm Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 MRC 702M Filter, 2-Stop is a high-quality, durable, and effective tool for capturing stunning landscape images. This versatile filter is designed to attenuate incoming light by two aperture stops, transmitting only 25% of the light, thereby creating dramatic effects in your photographs.
The 702M filter is particularly useful when the horizon line is close to the center of the image, as it helps to balance the increased difference in brightness. This filter is part of the renowned 701M and 702M series, which are supplied in a rotating mount, similar to a polarizer, adding to its ease of use.
Crafted from optical glass, this filter features a Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) by B+W. This extraordinary multiple layer coating is not only highly effective in reducing reflections and glare for improved image quality, but it's also harder than glass. This makes it resistant to scratches, even during cleaning, and repels water and dirt, making filter maintenance a breeze.
The 702M filter uses the standard B+W rotating F-Pro filter mount, made of brass. This mount is thinner than its predecessor, introduced in 2001, allowing it to be used with wide-angle lenses, including most 24mm focal lengths on a full-frame body, without the risk of vignetting. The F-Pro mount also features a modified retaining ring that holds the filter glass in place from the back, reducing the risk of loosening when removing a tightly screwed filter or lens hood.
In summary, the 77mm Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 MRC 702M Filter, 2-Stop is an invaluable addition to any photographer's toolkit, offering a blend of functionality, durability, and superior image quality.
