My New Favorite Tripod Head

It's a nice sturdy head. Really like the updated tripod plate and the bubble level is great to use with the light. When you're in a dark location it's nice to not have to hold a phone or flashlight with your neck as you're balancing. The counter balance system is also perfect. Great tripod head all around!

great add-on to Induro LFB100S DR Hi-Hat

It is a great add-on to the Induro LFB100S DR Hi-Hat tripod or the Kessler Cine Slider. The quick release plate is compatible with the Manfrotto head which is a plus. It is well built and great pricing.

A little heavy but stable and solid

The Benro S8 Pro Video Head with Flat Base (3/8"-16 Connection) will attach directly to tripods, monopods, sliders and other camera support equipment with a 3/8"-16 threaded stud. It can also be adapted to 75mm bowl type legs and hi-hats using an adapter, such as the Benro BL75, that is sold separately.

The S8 is a two-way, pan/tilt head designed for video applications and will support cameras weighing up to 17.6lb. Designed to give you better control, the head features stepless, continuous adjustment of both pan and tilt drag, this allows you to dial in the amount of tension you feel most comfortable with for a given shot. It can pan a full 360deg. as well as tilt forward (lens down) 90deg. and backward (lens up) 70deg. To help compensate for cameras weighing different amounts, as well as adapt to payloads with varying centers of gravity, the head also features a four-step (0 - 3), adjustable counterbalance system.

  • The removable pan bar handle can be mounted for left or right handed operation. Additionally, a second pan bar handle, such as the BS04, can be purchased if you will be using zoom and focus remotes or desire two-handed operation
  • Sliding quick release plate can be positioned up to 1.5" forward and 1.7" back of center to simply balancing
  • Illuminated bubble level
  • Ratcheting lock levers for, pan, tilt and the quick release plate
