I was in the market for a stabilizer but then I saw the prices for the GlideCam/Stedicam for my camera's weight and I was like, it's going to be a little bit before I can afford it, but I still want to learn how to operate a "Steadicam" and get some really great shots that gimbal, in contrast, makes look clinical - less organic. I initially went with Proaim's RedKing and that was nice. However, the head and base were screw-ons and I didn't like that too much. Then I read about the Came-TV Pro Carbon Stabilizer. I jumped on the opportunity and said that if this didn't work then I'd save up and get the Zephyr. I was mighty surprised. This system is robust, has a great feel to it, and it's simple to set up (considering if you have experience balancing sleds/Steadicams). The arm is great as well, which was another issue I had with Proaim and their arms feeling very loose - even with swapping out the coils for heavier payloads. The vest is comfortable and I do like the attachment slots for the arm to the body. The drop in pin makes flying my camera feel secure. The case that comes with this is a nice addition as well. I love it and it fits the vest, arm, and sled. This was a worthwhile investment and I recommend this to any filmmaker/camera operator that wants to take their visuals to the next level and also get an entry level steadicam for their productions. I'm super happy with this purchase.
