I'm a big fan on this lens. It is light, sharp and optically fast. I've been using it for years, first on film and now on digital. I also use it with an EF25 Extension tube for light macro work. It's light enough to take on my backpacking trips, and it has a really useful focal length for portraits with outstanding bokeh. A real sleeper in the canon lineup. It would be great if they would re-introduce this same lens with the USM motor for faster AF and instant manual focus override... until then, I love the current version.
