This is and upgrade from a T3 Rebel - and it is fabulous. It takes so many sports photos so quickly and high quality that I have too many to choose from!

Love the photos but have to turn off so many computerized processes. Feel like I need lessons on this Rebel-it's my third one.

After using my t6i for 7+ years, I decided to upgrade. Honestly, the t6i is better. The autofocus isn't as smooth on the t8i and the quality poorer. The upgrades make it act like a cheap point and shoot instead of a DSLR. I know it's an amateur model, but it's not an upgrade from past versions in my opinion. Sadly I will end up reselling this and going back to my t6i until it bites the dust.

Was debating between the Canon EOS T7i which cost less than the T8i. I went for the extra cost and picked the Canon EOS T8i and am glad I did. Overall the T8i is a much better camera & buy given the upgrades from the T7i. Adorama made the sale great with knowledgeable great staff. They answered all my questions and help me get the best bang for my bucks. Truly great company whom I will undoubtedly continue to due business for all my photography needs and desires.

I?ve had this camera for a year now and it was incredibly easy to use and the scene shooting modes were very good for when I started out. This is my first camera so I can?t compare it to others in the line but if you know how to use it (very easy to learn) you?ll have the capacity to take great photos. The cropped sensor has worked in my advantage many times with the 55-250mm EF-S lens and it works well as a lightweight wildlife photography set up. The 50mm 1.8 stm works fantastic with this body for portraits as well and the astrophotography I?ve done with that lens as well has been very pleasant. All around great, easy to use, lightweight camera body with available cheap kit lenses that do a very good job!

Almost 3 mos bought from Amazon. Had to return. It was a hit or miss. I have more missed. Maybe the camera was defective. The t7i was much better.

I bought this to replace my EOS Rebel T3. It has nearly twice the resolution, two more ISO levels, noticeably faster focus, faster burst mode, and the ability to enable back-button focusing. The articulating touch screen, wifi, and electronic level have also come in handy. USB download is much faster, but you have to buy the cord separately. The default setup uses a beginner's screen, but it can be configured to have the same quick settings screen which the T3 had. I originally chose the T3 because I liked the layout of the controls and the feel of it in my hand, and the T8i is every bit as good in that respect.

I owned a Canon T3I for many years and just upgraded to the Canon T8I. It is a very good camera for the money...very easy to use and the quality of the photos are great. Its light weight makes it easy to pack out on longer hikes.

We picked up this camera on an expedition actually looking for a different model that was out of stock. We had lenses already and quickly found the cameras capability for exceeded its kit lens. Strapped to my backpack the camera never missed a shot. It sits comfortably between an advanced camera and a beginner. It?s size and weight makes it packable. The battery gave us all day shooting and was charged with goal zero products. It was used for a wide Variety of shooting, from deep sky to Scientific research and we were very well pleased with it. Just get a good lens and you?ll own a great small camera for outdoor use, it?s only con is it?s missing GPS, but we don?t need that feature on a still unit. Remote shooting with the app works great and includes live shooting. Low light was fantastic, 1080 was good, while 4K was cropped but a good lens fixed that mostly. Built in microphone was good enough for clear note taking of videos. Overall I feel this camera is underrated. It?s made 4 expeditions where much more expensive cameras have failed. It has all the ports you?ll need, microphone, HDMI out worked great for video conversations on the web. And best of all it?s fully compatible with other products as if it was made for expeditions. Bottom line was we settled for this camera by accident, and as it turns out it was the best mistake we made in video/photography equipment we?ve made. It became my go to camera for our trips. Get one and a good lens EF-S you won?t be sorry. If you are i worry about you?

Says it is a beginner?s camera. But, has a few frills that make it more of a mid level camera. Easy to use and takes clear detailed pictures. Not the top of the line by a long shot but it is a good sturdy camera and fun to use.

This camera put a huge smile on my face day one. Very easy to learn on and image quality is stunning. I have been taking incredible shots with the 18-55 kit lens. I ordered the 55-250 is stm mans I can only imagine how sweet that will be. After researching and watching tons of videos for a couple weeks I am so glad I decided to get the t8i. I bought it for wildlife, hiking, YouTube and taking pictures of my woodworking projects. Fantastic camera for a reasonable price. Well done Canon
