I use it in situations when I can't use a tripod. It helps with camera and old man shake.

This pod is great because it's light but still strong. I can easily carry it on a hiking trails, to the park etc. I really like how it can adjust with the camera.

Happy with the price and performance. My Manfrotto was stolen, and was happy to find this awesome Canon one and will only buy this brand for now on.

Seems sturdy. Not real heavy and able to be strapped onto my carrying case. Only problems I can see is that the person looking into this monopod needs to realize that you can't just put anything on this 'pod' without considering weight. The 8.5 pounds is a good 'stopping' point in weight to be attached to this 'pod'.

I bought this product because my Canon 7D with the battery grip and a 70-200m F2.8 lens is a bit much to hold steady when I am taking photos at an event. I needed something light and compact that could use to steady my shots. This monopod fit the bill perfect. Seeing that it is a Canon product the fit and finish is superb. I will be shooting a Ferrari Challenge race event in July and I will be giving the Monopod 500 a serious workout that day!

I have used it for my landscape, portrait and sports photography. I really like the mini ball head. So far I like everything about it.

It is a good monopod. The ball joint doesn't hold onto a heavier camera very well it tends to droop slowly especially at odd angles and needs to be tightened very tight to hold properly. Otherwise its an awesome and well designed product.

Overall a very good product. I wanted a locking quick release and purchased the Monfrotto 234 RC swivel tilt monopod head with a quick release plate. This gave me more security with the camera attached and it was very easy to mount my camera. The monopod head comes with a 1/4 and 3/8 mounting screww. I have used the monopod with a full size Canon and 70-200mm lens and their was no problm with support.

The ball joint is too weak to support a camera the weight of a Canon 7D....would be fine for a point and shoot or a rebel with a small lens.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I think it'll be a great addition to my equipment. I know it will offer me support when I need it.

Very good price. We have a T3i and it seems to support it well. We have not used it a lot in the 2 weeks we have had it but it is handy and with its compact size fits on the side of our camera slingpack.

Ball head works well with a fairly lightweight camera , like my Panasonic FZ47.

Very useful in situations where you need a tripod but just don't have room for setup. Also handy for overhead shots in crowd situations.

This monopod comes in handy for shooting outdoors and even at crowded indoor events when you need a tripod but don'd have the room. Works well if your camera/lens is not too heavy.

Excellent price, superb quality and easy of use; what more can you ask from any product? I would recommend this to anyone looking to stabilize their digital camera (particularly those with a high powered zoom feature). Great product and expecting many years of use.

This is a great product! Study construction, easy to use, and the mini ball head works like a charm! It may not provide the height you want if your 6' 4", but I'm only 5' 4"... so it's great for me! :)I plan to use this for a wedding I'm shooting, and it seems to work great! [...]

The head came off from the monopod right after I mounted my Nikon D700. I realized that the part was chipped and not able to mount back to the monopod. Lucky my D700 didn't fall onto the ground.
