The new Macro lens solves one of the biggest issues plaguing these small cameras. They can't focus to subjects close to them. The lens is hefty and well made and adjustments to the focal distance is a simple dial wheel. It doesn't ship with a lens cover but does have a storage case to keep it safe.
Necessary Accessory
If you are getting the Action 6 and plan on using it for anything other than action sports specifically, this is a must and makes the Action 6 the king of action cams.
Manually rotate the focus ring to adjust the focus range from 11 to 75cm. With Focus Peaking in the Mimo app, you can keep your subject sharp while creating a natural shallow depth of field at closer distances.
