Gives a much more condensed cone of light to focus the beam better. Awesome for getting some good backlight! The gels are ok - not crazy that they are all diffused - just for creativity not correction.

The material is light, the quality is acceptable for the price, the gels are of good quality, it's really a must have item when it comes to being creative. You have to treat it with care for durability but you can't ask too much for the mega price.
