Now I want the bigger one, too.
I love this thing--always my go-to for one or two person portraits. It's fast to setup and way smaller than a Bowens mount pop-up. It is also my most versatile softbox. Placed close with double diffusion, it's great for soft light portraits. Remove the diffusers and use one of the deflector plates, and it acts just like a beauty dish. In fact, the plates narrow the beam out of this parabolic so much, that I don't ever feel the need for the grid (it's kind of a pain to put on anyway.) Now...

Amazing modifier, dirt cheap for what you get
This is a true parabolic modifier. Without any diffuser it's dark in the central area. The central point is bright since there is no way to focus the light unfortunately. If you ever shot with a Parabolix modifier - the ADS85s renders a similar pattern like a defocused Parabolix (the head position is opposite).
