I have had the 38" Paprapop for probably 5 years now and it has been my #1 go to soft box. It stays in my nightstand bag all the time and goes with me on basically every shoot because it is so easy to move around with and light weight. This durable softbox is equipped with a Bowens Mount Adapter and an OTA Adapter Set, making it compatible with a wide range of strobe lights.
The ParaPop 28" II is not just a softbox, but a dynamic lighting solution that opens in a flash and closes with a pop. Its unique 12-sided, parabolic profile measures 28 inches in diameter and 16.5 inches in depth, providing a generous 105-degree light spread. This design ensures beautifully graduated shadows and vibrant, saturated colors, avoiding the flat 'flashpan' look of direct strobes.
The ParaPop 28" II features an ultra-efficient parabolic reflector with virtually no fall-off from edge to edge. The internal silver reflector fabric imitates polished lame, while the UV-A and UV-R diffuser materials are exceptionally heat resistant. This softbox is designed to align with almost all brands of flashheads, monolights, or speedlights, attaching to the speedring assembly with ease.
The included Glow ParaPop OTA-A Speedlight Mount for OTA Adapter simplifies connectivity and accessory modifiers for use with the original ParaPop and updated ParaPop II. This adapter replaces the standard Bowens MOUNT plate that is screwed onto the rear face of the ParaPop Assembly hub. Once in place, all OTA Adapters bayonet securely mate directly onto the adapter.
The ParaPop 28" II also comes with the Glow ParaPop OTF Parapop Filter & Color Filter Kit. This innovative set magnetically modifies round head monolights such as the Flashpoint XPLOR100 Pro and the on-camera speedlight Zoom Lion X series, transforming your strobes into a ParaPop II friendly shaper of light. The kit includes 7 color filters, a Gel Frame, Diffuser, and a 40-degree Honeycomb Grid.
The ParaPop 28" II Portable Softbox is designed for easy placement on all standard lightstands with a 5/8" stud and locks with a quarter-turn of the twist-lock mechanism. Its user-friendly system features rubber pads lining the surfaces and a firm clamping grip on the flash head, ensuring freedom of movement while shooting without damaging gear.
Please note: This item should not be used with Halogen Modeling Lamps due to excessive heat buildup. Use with Fluorescent or LED Modeling Lamps only.
