this light has great features; is really consistent, and super easy to use. It will give plenty of light for almost all demands from small studios / setups; and provides very pleasing lighting and all the controls you could ask for in a simple light setup.

I would have rated it a 5 star product as I love the light output and how well the app works once connected but, I had a bit of an issue reconnecting the light to the app using the Bluetooth button on the back. May have been user error which is why I still gave it 4 stars. It's a great bi color light that I'm curious as to why I don't see more people using it .

There are a few small perks with the Amaran 100D that make it better than the SL100D: more convenient locking cord, Apature?s Bowens Mount Hyper-reflector doesn?t create as bad of a hot spot as Godox?s does, I personally prefer the simpler 1-button control panel on the 100D and using my phone for all other settings. However, despite the little things that make Amaran?s 100D better, you simply cannot beat the price of Godox's SL100D relative to its build quality. If you are someone who demands all the bells and whistles, get the 100D. But if price is your main concern (which I feel is probably true for the vast majority of people who are looking at these lights and not something that?s all metal) there?s really no reason not to get the SL100D. Honestly, Godox could probably charge more for these and they would still be worth it (though thank goodness they don?t).

I bought a second one years later because I enjoy the first one so much ! I can use as main or fill. The tungsten orange is removable to give you the blue/white light. The barn doors for controlling light were included. They are great for table top lighting. I also ordered the remote to control both lights. The remote simplifies the whole process. Thank You

Great light and value for the money. One major flaw is if you use the Godox app to turn the light off, then the fan will always be running 24/7. You need to unplug or flip the power switch on the back (some how cut the power) to turn off the fan. Other than that I would give it 4 stars minus one for not telling us about the fan issue. FYI - the fan noise is not loud enough to bother my videos but is annoying when it is running all the time. I thinking about returning or getting a inline power switch.

I was looking for the right LED light for video production. And this light definitely fits the bill I purchased three of them with various light modifiers. I really like the simplicity of having all the controls on the back of the light and not needing a separate control unit or power supply. I created a small lightweight and very adaptable light kit it works exceptionally well for TV commercials, industrial education videos, and interviews. The fact that it is bi color makes it easy to match existing lighting conditions. And when you are moving fast in a run and gun style shooting, that?s important. We do a lot of work in hospitals and they like to keep your equipment to a minimum so not to interfere with their responsibilities. The versatility of these lights and the compact size and shape along with the power output make these the perfect location light. I would strongly recommend them for anybody who wants a lightweight powerhouse that can adapt to any just about any situation.

Powerful for the money, but not ideal for quiet/up close sets for recording audio. It makes a noticeable hum that might be a deal breaker depending on the circumstance. Just know ahead of time it won't be silent. Reflector also creates an inconsistent pattern brightest in the center.
