Best panoramic, hands down

I waited on buying one of these for awhile, years in fact, and then found an amazing condition sample at my local shop for a steal. I now own 2 XPans and a Fujifilm TX-1. I’ve got to say that if you like rangefinders and are comfortable composing with the panoramic format, this camera is absolutely exceptional. The build quality is near equal to Leica, and the ergonomics, image quality, and ease of use is near perfect. I love these cameras more than I thought possible, and the more I use it, the more I want to bring it along. Something just so nice about the pano format, and it’s a true panoramic compared to the swing lens style like the Widelux (though the Widelux is on my list). Only downfall, in my opinion, is the electronics and possible shutter failure. That said, I’m not going to worry about it and just shoot it and enjoy it til there’s no more life left. If you’re on the fence, just get one, shoot it, and resell it if it doesn’t fit your style. Either way, this thing is an icon of photography in my book.

Hasselblad Xpan

As mentioned in pro and cons. It has a little wider body, but one must expect it with panoramic camera. Shoots WONDERFUL pictures with no distortion whatsoever, the lenses are amazing, I use it with 45mm. I just love it. I have been using a digital SLR for about 8 years and tried it more out of curiosity than anything else and it is just a great piece of equipment...
