The JuicedLink BMC388 is a feature rich low-noise preamp, which can enable you to reduce the audio "hiss" from your camera. It has 3 XLR inputs and 48V/12V phantom power, meters, and locking balanced as well as unbalanced outputs. It is built tough, and refined to provide the best power efficiency, smallest size, and lightest weight. It incorporates sweet features such as Audio Bracketing (for camera overload protection), Selective Power-Down (to extend battery life)

  • Connectivity: Three balanced XLR low-noise preamp inputs
  • Connectivity: Two balanced 3.5mm mini-jack outputs (locking) with amplified mic level
  • Connectivity: One unbalanced 3.5mm stereo mini-jack output (locking) with amplified mic level
  • Durable aluminum enclosure
  • Power supply is switchable between 9V alkaline and 9V LiPoly battery use
  • Selective power down mode to turn off portions of the preamp not being used
  • Audio output bracketing duplicates the left channel on the right channel at lower signal level (approximately 16dB lower). So, if the camera overloads on the main signal on the left channel, you have a backup at a safe lower level on the right channel
  • Accomplished by setting the Mono/Stereo switch to Mono (mixing all mics together and sending to the right and left outputs), then attenuating the right output by turning on the R-pad switch
  • Audio output bracketing adds no noise or distortion, in contrast to the noise and distortion created by limiters. It also consumes no battery power
