Solid and Compact
This tripod does not replace my larger units. But it is good for backpacking. It's nice and compact, but needs a shoulder type carrying strap. The strap that is included with the tripod is too short and is intended to be used to hand carry it. I cut it up, using only the part that wraps around the legs. This tripod is quite solid-feeling and stable. I love the leg release clamps which allow the legs to be extended quickly - much faster than the twist type other tripods employ.

An excellent investment
Attached to my camera backpack, this "pod" has logged many miles. It has functioned flawlessly in salt water, sand and sub-zero Minnesota temperatures. Though I use three other tripods, this one is and will remain my primary. [...]

Bogen - Manfrotto 190MF4 Review
The only possible improvement that could be made in my opnion would be a quicker release lever of some sort on the legs. It's quick to setup, but the levers are pretty stiff.
