Super sharp lens with good zoom range.
Great all around lens that is super sharp. The zoom range will make it my "walk around" lens to use on my Olympus E-M5 Mark III camera. The dust and splash proof design will let me be out in damp or dusty conditions without worrying about damaging it. I like that it is light and compact.

Fantastic Light Weight Zoom From Olympus
I have tried a number of lens' since buying the OM-D E-M5 MARK III. My favorite zoom to this point is my excellent M.ZUIKO ED 12-40MM F2.8 PRO. It takes great pictures but does not balance will on the M5. This lens seems to have it all, light weight, pro weather sealing, great pictures. This lens seems to be made for this camera. If you are looking for a good zoom to carry around all day, anywhere this is the one.

Fabulous all-around lens.
This is one of my all-time favorite lenses. I've used primes and zooms and this is one of the best so far. I love the range and the f4 doesn't bother me at the long end. I always thought you had to have 2.5 but you really can't shoot that mid-day, so f4 is fine for me. The lens works flawlessly, very smooth action and is very sharp. It's made a real difference in my photos overall. It is bigger and heavier than say a 14-42 which I formally used due to the small size and light weight, but you eventually get used to the size and weight of this lens. The pictures are the 'proof in the pudding' as they say. A keeper for me.

Perfect outdoor activity lens
This lens has quality optics, weather sealing, and is extremely compact. Several online reviews say one should spend "a little more" and get the F2.8 12-40mm pro lens. However I believe they are missing the point. For starters the faster lens is $450 more. It's also considerably bigger and heavier. I wanted a small, light lens to carry while hiking and cycling. My E-M5 MIII with this lens provides exactly the quality photos with minimal size and weight I want

Great lens for outdoors!
I bought this lens as a package with the E-M5 Mark III. Awesome lens. Great for nature photography and landscaping. This is my first PRO lens, and probably not my last!

Excellent Lens
I bought this lens with OM D E M5 Mark III, It is a perfect lens with this camera. The sharpness of this lens is unbelievable and the size makes it a perfect all around lens. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Perfect for quality and portability
I sold my heavy and bulky 12-40 because it’s too heavy for me on my Pen-F and bought this instead. So happy I did. Love the quality in a small light lens. I pair this lens with the very light, inexpensive, and very underrated 40-150 f3.5-5.6 lens. Great combo. This lens Is just what I’ve been waiting for, and close up capabilities are awesome!

Great Lens
This is a great standard zoom for my em5 mark iii. It is light weight and comfortable to use. I appreciate the build quality, smooth operation, and weather sealing. The optics are excellent. The F4 maxium aperture generally suffices for me. I value the light weight and slightly longer zoom range of this lens over the faster speed, but heavier weight of the 12-40 F2.8. In low light conditions, I reach for a prime.
