The Panasonic Lumix S5IIx is a powerful and versatile hybrid camera that is perfect for both photographers and videographers. It boasts a full-frame 24.2MP sensor, 5.9K/30p video recording, and a ton insane features. It won't disappoint! If you are looking for a powerful and versatile hybrid camera that can shoot both stills and videos, the Panasonic Lumix S5IIx is a great option. Make sure to take advantage of Adorama's bundling, I saved a ton of money to get 2 extra lenses.

During testing of the video capabilities, I found two dead pixels. I shot in 4K All-I at 400 mbps. It was only noticeable in the editor. Other than that, it works fine. Even shot in 101 degree weather in Phoenix. The photos are immaculate. The best autofocus system I have ever used. Will send back to get replacement.

I haven't had it for that long, but so far so good. Very happy thus far. Check out my initial impressions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiTWKAXwod4&t=311s

I'm coming to this review from an interesting place: My other camera is micro four thirds (an OM-1), and my _prior_ full-frame camera was a Sigma fp. The Lumix S5 IIX has the advantages I purchased it for: It's full-frame, with the associated advantages for portraiture; it has a range of lenses available with good weathersealing (not IP53 as Olympus pro offerings, but still good), great sharpness, and reasonable pricing (the Lumix S 85mm f/1.8 is perhaps the prime I use with it most frequently); it can record video in BRAW while connected to a Blackmagic Video Assist; and _unlike_ the Sigma, it has IBIS. So why not five stars? The short answer is that I've been spoiled by the OM-1 on usability, shiny features (live compositing &c), and range of physical controls. Perhaps comparing the flagship of one system to a mid-range camera of another is unfair. I bought the S5-IIX for portraiture and videography, and it does those things well; but there's a special something missing.
