I have had this slider with the motor and controller for years now. I use it about 3 times a week and it continues to work extremely well. I did purchase extra supports so I can attach this slider to a single heavy-duty tripod. The braces attach to the slider ends and back to tripod legs which make for a very stable platform. The slider is extremely well made and I can't imagine ever wearing it out, smooth as glass when manual or motor sliding. The radius is particularly helpful when panning across a product to show many angles while fixed on that axis. The attached feet are easy to swing down into position for tabletop use. With the motor assist, the motor does make some noise, so your audio pickup shouldn't be on the camera and will need to be placed between the slider and subject to avoid picking up that motor noise. It's expensive and worth every single penny. I would recommend getting the largest one you can afford. I would buy it again.

I have some old sliders and wanted to get something new, so this looked like a pretty good upgrade. I'm a professional photographer and do some video work, this slider has the perfect radius for product videos in the studio. It was very easy to figure out and I like the solid build. BUT, there is a low level whir sound as your camera travels... it is noticeable unless you move very very slow. I also recommend that you get the PMG-DUO Slider Clamp set so that you can leave it on a dedicated tri-pod, in fact get two of them so you can use two supports for heavier gear and even do an incline. The included carry case is very nice and will keep it from clanking around in your vehicle. The 36 inch size turned out to be perfect, I was toying with the idea of getting the larger size but though it would get in the way too much. The legs adjust perfectly for low shots or table top setups. I use it with full size DSLR cameras and audio gear, so it needed to be strong and I have no regrets there. The finish quality seems really well done and I hope it holds up for many years to come. Yes, I recommend it to professionals, in particular, it's heavy duty and is my new favorite slider.

The ProMediaGear PMG-DUO 32" Video Slider with Carrying Case combines both straight and curved tracks into a single slider body. This dual-action design lets you add traditional slider moves or dynamic parabolic moves simply by flipping the slider. The slider features built-in adjustable legs for table-top or ground-level use, as well as 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 mounting threads for use with tripods or light stands. Each leg is independently adjustable for leveling the slider on uneven terrain. The legs fold out for compact storage inside the included carrying case.
For increased strength and durability, the tracks are CNC machined from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum. The carriage clamps onto either the straight or curved sides of the track and features four custom Delrin wheels, with two roller bearings inside each wheel for low resistance and a smooth sliding motion. A large knob releases the carriage from the track, for attachment to the other side, while a smaller knob locks it into place.
