Solid quick-release mount. This foot is noticeably larger than the original tripod mount for the Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS II lens. This foot is a little wider than the stock foot and noticeably longer along the axis of the lens.
RRS, Canon L glass, and Adorama is a great combination.
RRS is the best -- don't bother with the other pretenders. This foot replaces the barely-adequate foot that comes with the lens and is smaller, lighter, sturdier, and rock solid on my RRS ballhead. Glad Adorama had this in stock when I bought my lens.
Some collared, telephoto lenses have a foot than can be removed. If your lens has this option, choose one of our foot replacements instead of a lens plate. A replacement foot with built-in-dovetail mounting will be lighter, lower in profile, and provide the best possible stability for your lens.
