About RED DSMC Side Control Handle for EPIC/SCARLET DRAGON & EPIC/SCARLET M-X #1572643

The DSMC Side Handle is a hand-held, customizable module that will grant you complete control over all RED EPIC or SCARLET menu functions. The DSMC Side Handle also provides space to insert a single REDVOLT battery to power your DSMC BRAIN and provide hot-swap support for other batteries. The DSMC Side Handle is ideal for hand-held shooting. An ergonomic navigation wheel, backlit display and customizable buttons and settings, provides an easy way to adjust important camera parameters, as well as hold your DSMC on-the-go. REDVOLT not included.

Note

Upgrading your DSMC to v5.3 also upgrades the DSMC Side Handle. During the upgrade, you will be instructed to shut down the DSMC twice so that the firmware upgrades successfully. Any DSMC Side Handle that is upgraded to v5.3 can only be used with DSMCs running v5.2 or later. In order to use a DSMC Side Handle with v5.1 after you've upgraded it to v5.3, first downgrade to v5.2 and then downgrade to v5.1.
