This is a nicely built box and it feels well made and works well. It's very useful to have in many situations since it can change -10db to +4db or the reverse and has separate level knobs for each. It's also priced well. Why four stars not five though? Simply because it is not clear if the level knobs boost, attenuate, or what since they have no markings. There is nothing in the manual, and an email to Rolls through their site went unanswered. If this box is going to be used professionally you really need to know how to set it so a -10db reference tone at the inputs creates a +4db output and it shouldn't be trial and error. How are you supposed to maintain gain structure etc. if you have no idea what level you have? This is the only strike against this box, but it is an important one and would be so easy to remedy in the documentation.

I used this on Crown XLS Drivecore I PA's that don't have the input sensitivity selector that the new Drivecore II's have. Without this interface I would not be able to utilize the head room of the XLS amp and my dynamic range would be highly compressed. With the connected poperly and adjusted for max pure output (with no clipping) my RCA hookup work well and I have great sound, very clean and excellent imaging fantastic.This Rolls unit is easily worth every penny I paid for it. I totally love these units and would suggest having at, ,least one of these ready for when you might need it, I do!
